So I went in to The Millionaire Detective episode 1&2 with zero ex po expectations but turns out it's so much entertaining to watch
Art style and the Characters design are really good and both OP and ED are good too

It gives me detective conan, death note vibes if you love watching thriller detective anime . This one is perfect
This show has been so entertaining involving the journey of two polar opposites - a stone face millionaire taking revenge on his mother's death and a smart cheeky loud mouth who is a ordinary bloke. Both of which partner up to be badass detectives. I found this anime really difficult to distinguish if it's the anime of the year or if its a bit of downer. However I gotta be honest here, 11 friggin episodes doesn't do justice(see what I did there ;D) to make up a great story like I felt the ending was rather too rushed and tbh, the damn other cops working for Haru and Daisuke (except for Cho-San and Takei) are so friggin annoying. Plus they are just literally dumb and useless man! I mean yeah, have a tiny sprinkle of comedy but the jokes they crack open, don't crack open enough.
But that doesn't stop me giving this a chance for season 2 and loving the theme songs in this (honestly love the op and the closing). If you're into the buddy cop genre, go watch this anime folks!

Daisuke Kambe, a detective with an unlimited amount of money, joins the Modern Crime Prevention Headquarters. Rather than solving cases in a conventional manner, Kambe mostly solves them using his money and other materialistic things. This greatly annoys Haru Kato, his partner.
If I talk about the storyline, the anime takes time to introduce the setup and the various characters. The plot starts progressing somewhere around the 5th episode. Nevertheless, even in the initial episodes, we are being constantly given hints regarding what we are going to see in the upcoming arcs. But it was around 5th episode or so, do we realise that the show is not something like Detective Conan or the File of young Kindaichi. In fact, the plot mainly revolves around the main and the recurring characters only, the detectives. They are directly and very much involved in the incidents or the cases, which this anime intends to follow. The show makes you curious and impatiently wait for the next episode. Till the very end, it remains unpredictable. Despite the twists, the ending is very subtle yet satisfying.
Daisuke Kambe would remind you of Bruce Wayne, who uses his wealth and futuristic technology to solve the mysteries. For the first few episodes, he looks perfect and almost at the God-level but after couple of episodes, we gradually get to see his human side as well. Not just that, soon it is also revealed that even with the boundless money and the technology, he too has his limitations and will have to work to overcome them. Soon after that, we get to know his motives as well and why he joined the police. Not just him, we also realised what Haru Kato and Chosuke are upto.
The opening and the ending songs of this show are catchy and relaxing. The OSTs sound very 'detective-like'(something that would match this genre). The animation is also good.

This anime is about a cop, Haru Kato, and an inspector, Daisuke Kambe, who is a multi-millionaire, who work together on cases despite their differences and constant conflict between them. The anime covers the question of why a millionaire needs to work as an inspector, the bond between Haru and Daisuke, and the mysterious element.
The anime is filled with comedy, excitement, and some serious tone to it at certain points. The first four episodes are just there to give character establishment with a filler criminal case per episode. The main storyline starts in the fifth episode and continues in further episodes. It would have been good if the makers started the story from the first episode or the second. The difference between Haru and Daisuke is written well, establishing that Haru tries to use his skills legally, but Daisuke throws money on technology, people, and things to solve the case.
Haru's trauma from the mistake he made in the past case was also a good addition to his character, as he has redemption later in the story. The backstory of millionaire Daisuke's intentions to become an inspector was written well. The millionaire losing the things he relied on too much and overcoming and paying back the culprit was also a good addition to his character. The twists and turns and the distractions to set up the big reveal were also well-written as the story unfolded in each episode.
The comical scenes were decent, as they made you smile at some points. The technologies Daisuke uses are admirable to watch as he uses them according to the situation. The action scenes were decent, and I can't complain as it is not the genre of the show. The climax was satisfactory to the story.
As I watched it in English dub, the voice acting is good and suits every character well. The animation style is good too. The music is decent, and the comical narration of the show is acceptable.
In conclusion, it's a decent watch to me. If filler portions were cut down, then it would be better than the current one. I suggest if you like a mystery story in comical narration, then check out this anime.
