I did not expect too much from it. But once I started it, there was not a single moment where i got bored. Amazing series with some amazing new concept.
After 10 min of the firts episode I couldn't stop watching.
Sweet tooth his a great show, the cast did an amazing job, the story is magical and thrilling and the all production, especially cinematography, is so good.
Netflix, you better not cancel this one because is a winner, highly recommended.

I recommend starting this series early in the day. It's binge worthy to say the least, the characters are lovable, the story is addictive, and the visuals are really great. The only qualm I have with this series is a bit of lack of dedication to some of the costumes, not any main characters costume, but I really expected to see more details on the 2nd and 3rd hybrid extras that don't take the spotlight much. Usually in films extras get less attention then leads, but with this particular series you'll find yourself captivated by them all. Despite this I'm still giving this series a 10/10 rating, simply because I imagine I'll be watching it again soon. And that doesn't happen very often with series' i love and consider memorable. Even the best of the best series iv seen typically don't get a second watch in my books. But this one was touching, inspirational, insightful, and very very captivating. So I think I'll make an exception. Even just the first few episodes had some really beautiful shots of a off grid forest. Very cool.
I feel that I was needing this show. Although the environment is familiar with the one we're living on (a world pandemic), this show warms our hearts with friendship, innocence and hope. The story is binge worthy at the same time you always get the feeling that everything is gonna be okay. And that's so refreshing. I was very surprised with how good the show is.
Rated after Season 1. Hoping S2 keeps up!

Plot
A boy who is half human and half deer survives in a post-apocalyptic world with other hybrids.
Cast
Nonso "Zoo" Anozie is stupidly likeable as always, Adeel "Utopia" Akhtar is fantastic, James Brolins narration exceeded my expectations, Will Forte was less annoying than usual (He should stick to straight roles), Neil Sandilands and Rosalind Chao were great villains and the kids varied from great to exactly what you expect from child actors.
Verdict
I had zero intention of watching Sweet Tooth, it wound up being my other halves choice and I wasn't exactly excited going in. Why? Because you look at anything relating to the show and it looks like it's aimed at kids, it revolves around a little boy with antler for crying out loud. So I assumed that was the demographic and I don't like kids at the best of times and 99% of the time will find kids in movies/tv shows totally obnoxious especially in lead roles. I expected the worst, I didn't get it.
You see Sweet Tooth is not what you think, it's not a kid show at all. It deals with dark themes, it has violence, it has a level of gore, it has profanity, it's very deceiving and blows away your preconceptions.
It took a couple of episodes before I was truly sold but once I was, I was gripped. Our leading kid is exceptional and not obnoxious as I expected, the supporting cast really make the show especially the uber likable Anozie . The story is simply epic and gradually plays out of the 3 seasons to a powerful finale, it's emotionally hard hitting, well acted, charming, endearing and I was excited to boot up each subsequent episode as nothing felt like a filler, everything has a purpose and I was positively enamored with the universe that was unveiling before my eyes.
Sweet Tooth is not what you think but you know what it is? Well worth your time.
Rants
Taste is subjective, I respect this fact but when you see 1 star reviews it does raise an eyebrow, or two. You see I find almost every 1 star and 10 star review very bias, dishonest and quite frankly melodramatic. In what universe can you call this a 1 star? And yet lots of reviews do. I'm in awe, bad writing? Bad acting? Makes no sense? All the complaints make no sense, I don't get it. I'm left feeling something "Offended" them in this world of absurd outrage, either that or they need to watch more stuff and see what a 1 star really looks like. Go watch Birdemic (2010), go watch The Zombinator (2012) these are 1 star!
The Good
Great cast So very charming A wonderful seamless journey through the 3 seasons Actually has an ending in a world where most shows are prematurely cancelled Looks stunning
The Bad
A couple of the kids are your usual brand of obnoxious Some animal cruelty elements I didn't appreciate Very inconsistent tones.
