I was utterly engrossed in the mystery of Servant's first season--until the ending landed with a thud. I was very interested to see the new path the show would take in the wake of such a change. What I found was a show that still remains as quirky as ever, but is ultimately pivoting to new areas that may or may not suit certain show-watching tastes. In large part, Season One was all about the "mystery of Jericho". With that largely solved, Season Two begins the necessary process of transitioning to different material and themes.
On one hand, "Servant" is clearly leaning in the direction of the mysterious cult presence, what with much more time devoted to Leanna Grayson (Nell Tiger Free) and her assorted odd relatives. While not providing all the answers in S2 ("Servant" plays the long game and hopes for or expects multiple seasons), this part of the setup is well done enough to be interesting, at very least. Shyamalan's adeptness at creating quirky/hilarious/terrifying (somehow all wrapped into one) characters shines through in this aspect.
Of course, the more direct material involving Dorothy (Lauren Ambrose) and Sean (Toby Kebbell) is still present, with Dorothy's coming to terms (or lack thereof) of the reality of what happened to her baby a major theme. Sadly, I wish more substantial ground would have been trodden in that area. Instead, it is more of a "treading water" situation.
Overall, though, Servant's second season is entertaining enough to easily be watchable in a half-hour format. The characters have grown on me enough to be considered endearing, and the plots/themes--despite being all over the place in terms of consistency--are just coherent enough to keep it from descending into chaos. While S2 wasn't quite as sharp as S1, the sophomore effort did more than enough to keep me in whenever a S3 rolls around.

Very creepy episode. this season takes place in a few hours of the show. 48 hours looking for Jericho and then a couple of days after Uncle George shows up. So you couldn't ask for much story development, this is what it is, a couple of days in the turner family. Transition season, good but not as good as the first. Still very good show.
What is the point of watching a show and asking for answers each episode?. You have to assess the final product, we are just in the middle of the show. These impatient people would not have been able to see LOST or The Leftovers.

Season 1 and 2 were so different but I hung in there each week to finally (eventually) get some key questions answered. Season 2 had their final episode today. VERY DISAPPOINTING! Almost NO answers for the whole season??? I've been recommending this show to many of people until Today. I just can't recommend it anymore. What a pity!
First season was our favourite (with my husband). We couldn't wait to see the next episode... Season 2 was almost a disapointment for me - my husband was still a big fan. The last episode of season 2 is just perfect. It gave me all the answers I was waiting (hoping) for. We also watched all parts of "Behind The Episode": I look at the series in a whole different way now. OMG. It's incredible how much precise and thoughtful planning's hiding behind the actual movie that we see. All the details, the little hints and motifs... This is a work of art! Not "only" a TV-series for me any more <3 Great job, Ishana!

I've really enjoyed this series. Like any show, individual episodes have their ups and downs.
However, my interest is declining towards the end of Season 2. They story and mystery is still expanding without resolution of any mysteries so far. They have to give some feeling of closure to end a season even if there are mysteries leading into next season.
They keep expanding the story still at this point. So many trails, threads, and angles to it's getting messy and wandering away from where we started.
And I haven't enjoyed some of the new direction as Season 2 ended. The story is so messy and wide now. Know what else changed towards the end of Season 2? I. Shyamalan started contributed to the writing. The episodes she directed I already found to be the weakest. So not surprising but even more so disappointing that she's taking over writing. A good reminder nepotism rarely results in an optimal outcomes.
