Amazing performance and acting
Very well produced
Story line is very exciting
Acting style is a bit wierd but definitely can't wait for season 2.
This show is brilliant and highly addictive. Unusually for Arabic series, it doesn't focus on family but on individuals (the main character coming from a highly disfunctional family). The acting is superb and the characters fascinating. The message is powerful. Just watch it.
The pre-credit opening scenes were promising. Then the opening credits start rolling, and I see "Dean Cain" and think, "from Lois and Clark!?!"
Unfortunately, the answer is yes. Another couple scenes go by, and all is well. Then Superman enters. I don't know if I'm going to be able to continue the show. He is sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo baaaaaaad! Easily the worst actor in the world. And I'm including kid's plays, community theatre, delusional one person shows based on the memoir of the 23 year old writer/performer. He might be able to play a severely brain damaged drug addict. That's how he delivers every line. Completely random volume and tone changes. Somehow never stressing the correct syllables like he doesn't actually speak English but is just reading a phonetic script that has been prepared for him
Problem is, he's supposed to be some kind of mentor to the main character. And the main character is supposed to be a genius. I have a niece who hasn't hit her first birthday, and she's already surpassed the knowledge of Dean Cain in every facet. Why would anyone hire this guy? Did they think they needed some US "star" to attract attention?
There was a little girl in the opening scenes. Probably 5-7. She'd be more believable in Cain's role. His name is "John," and he's American. They could call her John and let her only speak Arabic, and she'd still be more believable as the American mentor to the main character
Stop watching? Hope his part is tiny? (And FF past his scenes?) Or hate watch this clown?

The series starts unexpectedly slow for the genre. But very soon you realize that this is a good production. While dealing with technology and hot areas of the Middle East, the lack of bling bling and violence that you see in American movies on the subject and on the region is actually an asset. It reflects the depth of attaching characters and the internal conflicts each one of them lives. Most importantly the character look very real and cultural aspects are very well played and represented. Suspense, an essentiel element of a good series, is always present without being overbearing. Actors represent very well the characters which is enhanced by a good focus on their faces by the camera. Drone shots of the locations are used all over, reducing cost, the production would have benefitted by having more outdoor non drone clips. Details of the plot may sometime be difficult to understand, but this does not spoil the overall plot. An enjoyable production with a good plot and great characters well played by the cast. Looking forward to season 2.
The Platform is a slick production with believable characters, an exciting plot and no soapy subplots. I think most people will feel a whole lot better about their own fathers if they have issues with them, after watching this series.
Considering the unexpected ending, I'm very keen to see if there will be a Series 2 and how it will progress from here on.
