I like the story because I am a man like that. It's really hard to talk to the opposite sex, especially when I'm at school. I'm really awkward with girls and I don't have any girl friends. I learned a lot from this anime to improve my social speaking skills. The character development that I have to exemplify as a man who is awkward even though it seems impossible for me, but the story is really inspiring. The music is good, one of the Japanese music that I like even though I don't understand the meaning hehehe. Overall, I enjoy watching it from start to finish, I rarely get a relaxing anime that doesn't make me bored in the middle of the storyline. So interested in reading the manga.
Bottom-Tier Character Tomozaki surprised me with how grounded and realistic it felt, despite being set in a high school anime world. What starts off like a typical gamer-loner story turns into something much deeper - a personal journey about growth, self-awareness, and navigating social dynamics.
Tomozaki is a relatable protagonist for anyone who's struggled with confidence or fitting in. His transformation is believable, not rushed, and it doesn't pretend that socializing is easy. What I liked most was how the show didn't make "popularity" the goal, but rather focused on becoming a better version of yourself.
The characters around him, especially Aoi Hinami, are more complex than they first appear. The writing slowly unpacks their motivations in a way that keeps you hooked. There are moments of humor, warmth, and even frustration - but that's what makes it real.
Animation and voice acting were solid, with just enough style to keep it visually interesting without distracting from the message. Overall, this is one of those anime series that quietly leaves an impact. If you're into character-driven stories with real growth, give this one a shot.

You can watch it but you have keep your hopes very low. Its storyline first goes fast then gets slow. Its not very interesting. And i don't think it is romcom anime. Its only romance anime. I suggest watch it but don't keep high hopes you won't enjoy it.
Truly an all round awesome anime. It teach you that how you could change your life by sincere efforts. It kind of gives you a new perspective to every day life. Our brain needs dopamine for motivation when we try to work for achieving something. And if the effort is long term then it gets really difficult because your wins are much far in between. This anime tells you how you could achieve daily wins by improving in your daily life and stay enthusiastic.
Animation is pretty good ...story gets better with each episode ....the MC sticks to his ideals of being honest but also improves in life simultaneously ... definitely needs a S2 :)
