Monster (kind of Wendigo) sold by the movie poster appears distinctly for about fifteen seconds in the whole story, after an hour and twenty minutes of cracking branches, murmurs and ridiculous smoke effects. Grotesque.

In the vast landscape of B-horror movies, films often struggle to balance the scale of innovation and the familiar tropes that fans adore. This latest entry into the genre showcases some notable positives while leaving much to be desired in its execution.
The film is the story of a couple who embark on an adventure in the heart of nature to relive their best memories, but their journey soon turns into a nightmare. So far the movie starts out very similar to 'Backcountry' and honestly by the end there are many similarities between the two. Except here there is a third character, and a creature, whereas in Backcountry the monster was a big predatory bear.
One of the standout features of this horror film is undoubtedly the beast itself. Although at first this creature is nothing more than a black smoke similar to the one in the 'Lost' series, but finally when it really appears it is both imaginative and terrifying.
The cinematography of the movie is good and the sound effects are excellent. Perhaps the most refreshing aspect is the surprising in the storyline. While the film does not offer a traditional twist, it manages to add layers to the narrative and makes it interesting. This creative decision stands out amidst a sea of predictable plots, ultimately providing a well-received moment of shock.
However, despite these strengths, the film falters severely in its storyline. The plot, while offering some interesting moments, often feels disjointed and underdeveloped. Audiences may find themselves confused or, worse, disinterested in the motivations behind the characters' actions, which are often riddled with clichés. Unfortunately, the actors can't help the movie's characters to get out of the stereotypes, and except for the actor who plays the role of the hunter Quin, who has a better performance, the other two actors remain on the same level.
In the end, this horror film showcases a striking beast, effective atmospheric elements, impressive sound design, and a narrative surprise that stands out. However, it stumbles with a lackluster storyline, clichés that plague the characters, and performances that fail to resonate. For fans of the genre, it offers a few captivating scares, but it ultimately falls short of being a standout in an already crowded field.

Horrible movie, so childish, a waste of time!
Deserves 0.5 out of 100.
Weak plot, weak acting and it doesn't scare you at all. So childish as well it's like taken from a fairytale.
And white people if you hear something that sounds crazy scary and you are in the middle of nowhere why the heck would you go out of your tent and look for that sound? It doesn't make any sense to any human being. Why would the actress run directly to see the monster?? Logically you should run away and never look back neverr.
In conclusion, the movie sucks, doesn't deserve your time and it is not scary at all even to young children.

Halverson known for direct to video film called RED Clover, Sava everyone knows him from three seasons of Chucky. Famiglietti known for Terminator 3. The story is about a former cancer patient barely made it and thrown her medical bracelet in the fire because it what we remember by. The creature is intense and dripping nose goop. The Performances are actually not bad Halverson, Famiglietti and Sava does a fantastic job with Resulting with a positive role balances. 20% of this film had lack of smoke-cloud effect and the story does not have enough power to contribute its energy enough. Unexpected surprised creature feature that I'd never heard off, love my lowest expectations indie production films and small cast works for that nature forest woods atmosphere.
Sometimes you need to Watch a Movie (like: 'Battlefield Earth' 'Blair Witch 2' -or- 'The New Exorcist' ) to fully appreciate just how Truly BAD it is. And despite the abysmal reviews on both sides of the aisle (which may seem hyperbolic to some): I can state with absolute certainty that this Movie is in fact BAD.
The Script, Sound, Editing, Acting & Creature Effects were all acutely terrible. The only saving grace was some of the Photography & Production Value (i.e. The Shot-framing, Establishing Shots -&- Color-grading etc.)
Everything else was done haphazardly & felt just wrong. If this was the filmmakers first journey into the art of celluloid then I could perhaps understand, but that still doesn't change the fact that this film was abominable in it's attempt to entertain, captivate & thrill it's paying audience. (** 2 Stars out of 10)
