I believe Cagatay is moving from success to another. He is not acting but living up the character, the era, etc in an outstanding way. He is one of a kind and with unmatching charisma. The whole castt and director too did a marvellous job. This was a smashing record.
After 4 episodes, i can tell the show is well crafted on every aspects. Script, acting, directing, camera, costumes,... BluTV is really good at bringing big names to its platform by choosing interesting scripts. Last year watched Aleph starring Kenan Imirazalioglu and enjoyed it.
First 5 minutes of the show was enough for me to buy this story and be invested in Semih Ates's story. The script along with Cagatay Ulusoy's amazing performance as well as other actors in that 5 minutes is enough for everyone to be interested in Semih's story. Levent Cantak and Volkan Sumbul clearly worked hard on the script.
The pacing is good so far. (they announced it has 2 seasons, each 10 episodes) all characters especially 3 main characters Semih, Mine and Tulin are layered and each episode they reveal more of them.
The show is drama but it doesn't lack of good comical moments. Characters like Vehbi, Hakan, Advieh bring some comical moment which are really well crafted in the story and they don't feel out of place.
Cagan Irmak is really good at bringing the vibe of 60s, 70s. Before Yesilcam i watched My Grandfather's People and that movie increased my expectations and so far i'm enjoying the show so much.
The whole cast are exactly where they should be. No one is out of place. Performances are very good and on point.
Yesilcam just like what Semih said, "I make a movie that heals patients", brings good time to its viewers by telling a beautiful story about Golden days of Turkish Cinema in 60s and 70s.

A great series to have a glimpse of a time in which I haven't lived, and a place where the Turkish showbiz mixed with power, ambition, and Turkish politics during fights between Turkey and Greece over Cyprus.
Cagatay Ulusoy is AWESOME in the role of broke cinema maker Semih Ates!!! He is a magician who pulls wonderfully created characters out of his hat, just as Semih is a magician in love with the art of cinema who pulls trick after trick out of his hat to survive in a hostile environment and help other survive... literally!
Plus, the direction, vintage reenactment, cast and music are excellent!
Once again, Cagatay shows us what a fine actor he is and what a keen sense he has to choose work projects and manage his career. You have a great future ahead, my dear Cagatay!
All I can add is... I cannot wait to watch season 2!!
Regards from Argentina.

I will talk about neither plot, nor production but I will sum it up with one sentence "Yesilcam is the best Cagatay Ulusoy series which released in any digital platform so far."
I am already a fan of period pieces and I was expecting such work for a long time. The atmosphere of the period was successfully mirrored. Decor, costumes, makeup, etc. I found everything very harmonious. It's just that their accents were more modern; I'd like them to be treated more sensitively.
Other than that, I really enjoyed watching it. I've always been curious about Yesilcam's behind-the-scenes. For me, I would say that this series has filled a big gap. Not to mention being shot by a director like Cagan Irmak.
