Great show for kids 10 and u see and brings back nostalgia of being a child of the 80's. My 2 daughters have a few of the toys. I hope with the release of the series they bring them back to target store. Great cliff hanger for end of season. Kids and I can't wait for season 2.
I'm happy to see a 2D-animated Transformers show again, its been a while. Botbots is a fun silly time, with good animation and expressive characters. Voice acting is also pretty top-notch, James Hartnett does a fantastic job portraying ego-centric Burgertron.
The character designs, although having to be different from their toy counterparts for ease of animation are all solid and memorable. Dimlit was a favorite of mine.
The only real gripe I have with the show is that despite being rated TV-Y7 Botbots is surprisingly mean-spirited. Within the first episode the main cast is shunned and made fun of for the rest of the season (up to the last episode!) by the other bots in the mall for a simple mistake. The Lost bots make it their goal to be accepted by those who have done nothing but talk bad about them and be overall horrible. It was just frustrating to watch happen in nearly every episode.
Still, overall, Botbots is a cute little show to watch in an afternoon or two.

Love the subtle "don't argue with science or you're insane" schtick. The crazy inconsiderate bots are those who mock data and treat their opinions like the real facts. Obvious dig in my opinion...it's a climate change alarm episode.
Such a funny and silly show. Tiny transformers who likes parties and having a great moment is so cute. I've never expected that this show could be so good
The animation, characters, writing,..everthing is amazing! Also with the 2D & 3D mixed animation + stock photos makes it a unique and most interesting Transformers series.
It teaches the kids so many good things( true friendship, protecting the environment, not to give up...,) wich is very importand for a kids show. The voice actors did also a great job.
My favourite characters are Burgertron and Bonz-Eye.
This show deserves a second season.

Transformers has always had a few oddities in the series, from the Action Masters (Transformers that do not transform) to the Animorphs toyline. BotBots is one of them, as this has tiny robots capable of transforming into objects the like of Optimus Prime and Megatron would never transform into, like a hamburger, hot dog, or even a plunger or deoderant stick.
In this series, after Energon struck a local mall, some of the stuff inside become robots in disguise, divided into squads, but instead of battling each other like the Autobots and Decepticons do, they prefer to party all night while avoiding detection by Dave, the mall's security guard. This series chronicles the story of Burgertron, a member of the Hunger Hubs, who one day, finds himself in the Lost and Found, and is now considered a Lost Bot alongside Dimlit, Kikmee, Bonz-Eye, and Clogstopper, as they try to find the tribes they truly belong in, but are stopped by mean robots, especially Burgertron's so-called best bro, Spud Muffin, who labels the group as outcasts due to them breaking the rule of being seen by Dave.
So, yeah, this series is more of a comedy in the vein of shows like Teen Titans Go!, as each episode is a slice of life-type adventure where Burgertron and the Lost Bots get into misadventures trying to fit in (be it making videos or rescuing another BotBot). There is some mean-spiritedness in this, especially from Spud Muffin, who wants to see the BotBots banished (and has more sinister motives I won't spoil), but it is still a good series with tales of friendship and misadventures. Plus, the voice acting is good (Spud Muffin has the same VA as Metabee from Medabots).

- CuriosidadesBotbots is the very first Transformers series to be focused on comedy. All the other Transformers shows were based on action and war drama, although some shows had a bit of comedy mixed in.
