Lola

Lets go to the good part about this movie.

-good cinematography -Raven Goodwin

now the bad one.

-Can someone tell now, what the f does the richest daughter in the entire country, knows about everything she talked about?

-Im only seeing a rich girl make an aesthetic of this life style.

-Her acting is awful, no soul, she doesn't dig more when she acts, always at the same level of boringness.

-The characters are flat, and its probably just because of the acting.

-Feels like a trauma dumping story from the author and the author probably doesn't know what it feels like to not have food on you're plate

If i could put a zero star, i would.

No one needed to see this movie.

As others have said, the 10/10 reviews are obviously from shills connected with the movie or friends of Mrs Peltz-Beckham. The simple fact that it was written by, directed by, and stars Nicola should make you suspect that this is purely a vanity project, much like her husband's attempts to portray himself as a photographer and/or chef. And you would be right as she spends most of the film looking dead behind the eyes and completely detached from the storyline. She should stick to doing what she does best, being a "poor little rich girl", as she sure as hell doesn't have a future in the film industry.

Reviews on here seem to be very mixed. I am not aware of this Nicola person, the only thing I know is she is a nepo baby married to another nepo baby- David Beckham's son. It's cool she had the money and resources to make a film, too bad you can't buy talent.

The story line is kind of all over the place. It does not flow well, and the decisions Lola makes are not realistic to what an actual person in that situation would make. Nicola tried to make a film depicting what a poor person's struggle is like, but it's obvious she doesn't even have a clue. Maybe she should stick to what she knows- shopping, fashion, and luxury lifestyle.

As a passionate moviegoer, I had high hopes for "Lola," but sadly, it fell short in almost every aspect. From the wooden acting to the terrible Directing, this film left much to be desired.

First and foremost, the characters lacked depth and authenticity. It felt like I was watching cardboard cutouts recite lines rather than witnessing genuine human emotion. The lead actress failed to convey any real connection with the audience, making it difficult to empathize with her journey.

The pacing was another major issue. Scenes dragged on unnecessarily, while crucial plot points were rushed through, leaving me feeling disconnected and disinterested in the outcome.

Overall, "Lola" was a forgettable and lackluster cinematic experience. Save your time and money for a film that truly delivers on its promises.

In no way does this film depict what the reality of drug addiction/poverty is. It was a genuinely laughable attempt at doing so. It was painfully obvious that the director of this film was not drawing from real life experience and knowledge. I recommend watching The Florida Project instead for something that actually feels somewhat authentic. On top of this films inauthenticity it was also incredibly predictable and boring. I had to fast forward on many occasions because 50% of the film were just slow motion cameos of Nicolas face that make great clips for Instagram and TikTok but ultimately a terrible movie.
