Flowers and Honey

Glorified soap opera stars bright-eyed Newbrough as a city slicker botanist who's inherited her family's regional florist business looking for the sweet spot with her bee-keeping neighbour Hank (Roy). Hank's got low self esteem and honey money problems owing his honey pot turning red, which may or may not be caused by Newbrough's hibiscus, much to the annoyance of Hank's protective sister (Cope) who initially regards her new neighbour as a threat to the wholesome rural vibe of their quaint village.

Also featuring is Michaels playing Newbrough's diminutive ex-boyfriend who's moved-on a little fast, and Bowman as a larger than life Oprah Winfrey-type local socialite whose character serves to give Newbrough confidence in her new endeavour.

Everyone's wearing perfectly-pressed gingham and denim, fussing about flower-arranging, making scented candles and falling in love in a no-surprises formula romcom. The dialogue is reasonably witty, and the cast share attractive on-screen chemistry which is easy to watch when viewed with modest expectations.

Good looking actors, apiculture, hibiscus and its red honey, good portrait of Chris and a vigilant sister. What can wish more ?

Flowers and Honey is just a lovely romance , not last for the main actors but for good humor, something clues and fair predactibility. And for the nice dose of full unrealism.

I am far to be fan of romances in Hallmark style, but this remainds me a kind of Romeo and Juliet in proper terms, the ingenuity - his more than her- the connection and the source of smiles being a real good job.

Difficult to write more, for define it, like sweet. And the red honey, indeed , a very pleasant detail like the two pairs of brothers.

Good.

Could have been great were it not for blaspheming.

I will rate any blaspheming movie with zero stars.

I felt uncomfortable seeing a woman's stomach and a man in a tank top making a woman flustered. I don't want to feel uncomfortable while watching movies.

I wish movies would stop having actors dress immodestly. Just because the women are mostly covered/modest does not mean men need to show more skin to make up for it. Let the audience watching focus on the actors not on what they're wearing and how much skin they're showing.

Great on screen chemistry.

Cute story, minus blasphemies.

What is it with these films. They all seem to be playing annoying loud music. So irritating. Puts me off watching anymore.

I like the main actress but I never got past the first half hour as the music was driving me mad.

Storyline not unique. Seen it all before so didn't bother continuing.

Think I will be giving up watching these films as the good feeling isn't there anymore. Also to review films you have to write an essay. Isn't it enough to say what's wrong with a film.

I do not recommend anyone wasting an hour or so on this film. I think I'd rather watch paint dry, at least it's quiet about it.
