I like the show, however, I truly wish she would return to "Paternity Court". Especially with YouTube now showing so many men doing the home DNA testing. We need that to help men and children of all races know who is their father. It would also force these women to accept responsibility for their actions. Regardless of their lies the DNA test provides everyone in the courtroom with the truth. She dished out the results regardless of what either party thought. On top of that she cared for both parties after providing them. If he was or wasn't the father her goal was to protect the children first.
I loved paternity court because the people weren't actors. It's impossible to be remotely invested in the cases when know its all fake. Don't understand why they just can't help real people vs bad actors. Judge Lake really made a difference in lives with the paternity court, this is just about ratings and making money so she seems so much less sincere, like she is also a showman rather than a Judge with her constant quips and expressions. Even her makeup is Hollywood..like a photoshoot extra amount vs natural and she is too beautiful for that. This show isnt one ill watch. And, btw, the set looks like an IKEA knockoff.
I watched one-half of one episode. Judge Lauren Lake made a decision that was totally, completely, and as she admitted, contrary to the law. She made the decision out of "fairness". This is absurd. If I had been the defendant ordered to pay in this case, I'd be suing the judge, and the production company and I'm pretty, I'd win. These judges are "arbitrators" and as arbitrators are required to follow the law. She admitted that she wasn't following the law. She would be liable for damages for her bad decision. The law doesn't take into account "fairness" the way she did - the law is often not "fair". It was a simple contracts case. The party performed under the contract. She proved that she performed under the contract. And she should have won. Instead, she was ordered to pay. Ridiculous!! I'll never watch this show again!
This show is horribly fake and really don't learn anything vs the old court shows we use to have to watch such a disappointment. Court shows use to be really entertaining and because you had real people you were able to learn real people problem. And thing in the law this one is so fake and can tell by the horrible acting they people on the show do you can tell they don't really care about what is happening vs when you were able to watch shows like the people court or judge Judy they need to cancel all these shows with the fake acting and just get real people back way more entertaining watching some one being question by a judge vs reading the script.
True "Black Exploitation!" Why would Lauren Lake with her excellent legal resume act so dramatic/ghetto?! Hollywood pays so well that you would give up morals and ethics? I'm readily sure you have great knowledge of jurisprudence! But your over the top performance embarrasses us all! I want to know your decision basis to do this show? I have no problem if you work in a Municipal/State Court! I know you are a great asset to humanity and the legal field! I confess this site wants more characters... So I may have to belabor my points.... Judge Lake is again brilliant!! Please give her the proper venue to show case her talents!

- CuriosidadesThe disclaimer at the end states, "... may be re-enactments..." With the poor acting one would safely say almost every one is acting.
