Toni

I really enjoyed TONI. I was lucky enough to meet Sanjin Malesevic at a film festival in LA and was really moved by his work.

In TONI he has created a super unique and deeply unsettling tone - which I loved - with a deliciously destabilizing storyline. I've never seen anything quite like it before and was definitely on the edge of guy seat.

I especially loved the choice of color palette and the chilling soundscape. There was one shot that I have kept thinking of since I saw it because the sound was so cool. The acting was superb with really unique faces and performances that kept me guessing throughout. Highly recommend!

Director Sanjin Malesevic has crafted a superb short film all around.

From the powerful performances of the two leads to the well composed and calibrated cinematography, editing and sound design "Toni" is a mysterious yet satisfying film experience.

It definitely deserves all the recognition its received at the many film festivals its shown at in 2023 alone.

As with most surreal, character-driven mystery films its best to view this one without knowing anything about its plot or story. Just check it out wherever you can and enjoy its strange charm as it unfolds.
