The overall story is to good and unique. There is no distraction of songs and other unwanted masala. The second half keeps us on the edge of the seat. But, the climax spoils the intensity. Not because of the story, but the execution which is below par. Police inspector, acting like a helpless kid to stop the murder spoils the mood. Adding to that, the villain, reserved to make the appearance only during climax fails, to do justice to the role
. He fails to create that menace very much necessary to keep the intensity. Instead, the police is made to look helples.
First half an hour is boring. They could have made it much more interesting or even trimmedit.
Except Vijay Raghavendra, every other character is new and don't have an iota of acting skill. Though it is ok in the beginning, in the climax, it's all exposed. Also, the inspector arriving alone to arrest the criminal without the gun, even after knowing that he is also targeted by the criminal is just an example of many loop holes in the narration.
Though we can bear all the drawbacks keeping the low budget and lack of experience, there is no reason for the shabby camera work. It is as if a 5 year old kid holding the camera, unable to keep it steady.
Another fact that is not at all acceptable is the glorification of smoking, completely unnecessary.

The film is about a police Inspector who is assigned a new posting and as soon as he reaches there, there is a robbery. He comes to know of many robberies that has happened in that area and tries to find out who is behind them while slowly the story takes another turn beyond robberies.
The first half is not pacy but I might just forgive it for it's a suspense drama and not a thriller. The film has some good acting but more importantly, the supporting cast look really apt for the part. For eg, the constables. Good casting. I am not happy with an over weight Vijay been cast as a police inspector. He is a good actor but to make an inspector look authentic, the casting had to be someone leaner. The wife role, though small, was a bad casting. Her dialogue delivery was unbearable. The dialogues in general weren't that great as it felt Shetty himself wrote some of it as the Tulu sense hits me sometimes. It is surprising that no policeman carries any weapons throughout the film.
Generally some directors would have included husband-wife's romantic moments song(s). But thank god there aren't any songs to spoil the film's pace or the grip.
The film's climax is badly written but ends well though and because it's only 2 hours, one can indulge themselves in it.
Available on Prime.
Can watch with family.

Would totally suggest that you check out this movie! A lot has been said about the Malayalam/Tamil/Telugu movies in recent times, very rarely do we have a Kannada movie be talked about. This just might be one of them. (KGF doesn't count in this context, don't come at me)
The story revolves around a Cop who is out investigating a series of robberies , which is connected to something much larger. The film doesn't beat around the bush and gets straight to the plot, no mirch masala, no comedy and drama. Good music, decent writing and the lead (apparently it's his 50th movie and he's legend there?) did a good job playing the role of a cop.
There is a bunch of cliche that the movie could have avoided but i didn't mind it. The overall movie felt more of a crime drama than a crime thriller, it lacked that.....OMGWTH moment, it wasn't.... thrilling, but don't let that be a deal-breaker. Watch it just to support Kannada movies, because why not.
While it is neither the 10/10 that the general Sandalwood audience claims it to be and nor as bad as the movie critics say it is, it sure was a pleasant surprise. A solid 6.5 or 7, maybe. Nothing more, but nothing less.
So, if you're into that and are looking for something new, check it out.

I generally watch suspense thrillers n when I started watching this movie ,I was not expecting anything at all .I find the movie was quite engaging with tight screenplay. Performance by cast is upto the mark . The climax could have been bit more different .
Good Movie. Everybody acted well in the movie. BGM in the movie was good. The movie was interesting and thrilling at 1st half. Good Movie.
