The Intervention

Of the two Pure Taboo episodes on this DVD, hour-long supporting vignette "The Psychiatrist" was already issued on DVD under that title in 2018, here foisted on the public as a retread by Adult TIme to fool unwary porn fans. They didn't cover their tracks well, if at all.

Main event is "The Intervention", a dumb scene written and directed by producer Bree Mills. It has Aaliyah Love overacting as a stepmom, living at the fabulous "Immoral Proposal" mansion (seen thousands of times as a porn locale), who is aghast when she finds her teen kid Kristen Scott in bed with a Black girl, who shall remain nameless -she doesnt' get a screen credit, as usual.

Feigning outrage, Aaliyah spouts tons of anti-gay bias, typical of Bree's crusade for tolerance of lesbian sexuality (along with all types of sexual freedom), which has become tired, repetitive and frankly lazy in terms of story content over the years. She enlists her live-in boyfriend Derrick Pierce to "cure" the kid of homosexual tendencies by giving her a full treatment of heterosexual lovemaking.

If this is taken as satire or merely silly, it still doesn't play, but instead it's merely presented with the old porn logic: Kristen when threatened with mom withholding money to pay for her college education is instantly deep throating Derrick's dick, and even more improbably it isn't long before mama Aaliyah has joined in a threesome, abandoning her prejudices and experiencing orgasms by having faux incest with daughter Kristen.

When this nonsense is over, we are treated to the deja vu of Tommy Pistol's dreadful performance as "The Psychiatrist", abusing poor Jill Kassidy, who has been assigned to him by the court to evaluate after she's arrested for attempted murder of her own infant, a product of incestuous rape. It's just as crummy as the title vignette.

NOTE: In 2022 Bree Mills released a different feature with the same title "The Intervention", bringing back Aaliyah Love in a NonSex role in a Gay Porn feature starring Roman Todd and Johnny Moon.
