DreamWorks Animation's The Croods: Family Tree is an amazing and hilarious show. With all the characters from the newest movie, this show is sure to get you laughing.
This show is about the prehistoric Croods living with the Bettermans. While the kids get along, the adults have their fair share of mishaps as they learn how to live together on a farm. In one episode they try to capture the punch monkeys; in another they get Dawns Grr back.
This show is so fun to watch because of its humor. No matter how many mishaps the make, they are always back for more and that makes this show engaging. It has an amazing group of voice actors. Tran reprises her role as Dawn; A. J. Locascio reprises his role as Thunk from Dawn of the Croods. The new voice cast features Amy Landecker as Ugga, Kiff VandenHeuvel as Grug, Ally Dixon as Eep, Artemis Pebdani as Gran, Darin Brooks as Guy, Matthew Waterson as Phil, and Amy Rosoff as Hope. All the voice talent excels at making the Croods sound prehistoric and the Bettermans sound "evolved," as Hope would put it. Another great thing is the design of the farm they live on. It looks so amazing, like something you would want to live in, but if you look closer it is made out of things that were found in prehistoric times. The wall, the house and "The System" are made from bamboo and vines. The house is in a tree; so they live in a tree house. It also credits them with making a lot of things like windows, which are similar to TV and showers.
The message of this show is anyone can get along, no matter how different they are.
I give The Croods: Family Tree 4.5 out of 5 and recommend it for ages 6 to 14, plus adults can watch it with their kids on movie night. This is available on September 23th, 2021 on Hulu and Peacock. By Avalon N., KIDS FIRST!@

I vaguely remember seeing this was in production a while ago and just watched the first episode. They did a decent job of replacing the voice actors.
The big thing about the Croods is the gorgeous, imaginative animation and design.
Those are gone. They dialed back the animation to a bare bones degree. Trollhunters set a high bar for what they can do and even the much earlier Dragonriders Race for the Edge was better animated. The characters are stiff and the backgrounds nowhere near as lush. Yes, this is 'tv' quality, but it seems on the cheap end. There are better shows with higher quality in writing and animation. I guess Hulu doesn't pay as well as Netflix.

From the first movie to the second it changed to a less of quality. I never would've imagined the TV series would be worse. Watching The Croods was the most rewarding experience in decades, it was like going back to the Flintstones, going on adventures with them against the environment was fascinating. Until someone came up with the idea of bringing in a modern family and starting a dispute. At that moment all the innovative brilliance derailed, lowering the quality of the writing to nowadays constant not funny unpleasant gossip. What a waste, a demonstration of how to sabotage a stunning animation concept. The theme is good, the characters are likable, but they should continue to explore the environment rather than focusing on the neighbor's affairs.
Barely a blip of change from the movies noticed. The quality graphics, brilliant colors, new beasts, plants and storylines are top-notch and fully consistent with the hilarious and fun movies.
Bravo, and I'm ready for more!

I've watched this several times and although I love the croods from the movies to the cartoon series on Netflix and now the series on Stan, I really didn't like Guy in The Family Tree series. The actor that does the voice over put too much emphasis on the S's which made it really annoying and his character is a little too weak, it was almost like he's a different "Guy" and ao I took one star off for that otherwise it would have gotten all star rating from me. Everything else and everyone else that did voice overs were amazing and really made the characters relatable to the movie characters. If I didn't love the croods so much I actually wouldn't watch this at all because of Guy's character. He just really annoys me in this series and so does the actor.
