Maybe when you read this comment things will change a little, but now, as i am writing it down, this movie has a grade of 6.9!! Truly amazing! I only watched it because no one commented on it yet, i am a HUGE horror fan, so i try to help whenever i can. Especially when i see movies that are praised like never before, by people that were involved in the making of them, most likely.

OK, so about Psychotica": bad, really really bad. Can't begin to describe it, truly awful! NOT worth at all! If you are too bored, if you are in a bad mood, if you are with some friends, or maybe with your girlfriend and you want to see a horror, look somewhere else! Please do so, do not question me, do not think "hey, one bad comment but such a big grade, it must be good, it's just one guy"! Do not go there, stay away from it!

The only movie that i saw and was worse than this is, Porkchop! Hope i was of some use, but, if you do watch it, please post a comment, let the others know i was right. Save a soul or two! Thanks.

Don't expect anything special in this, no surprises and a thin plot. A group of heroine addicts decide to lock themselves in an old farm house to all quit cold turkey but first they bring a big stash of dope for one last hoorah, before quitting. I have experience in these things & their idea was a bust before they even left, you know the old I'll quit tomorrow thing (100% failure rate). But to add an element of anguish, the drugs they pick up weren't exactly perfect, they have been chosen randomly by a scientist to act as a test group for his new drug, what better a test group than heroine addicts that shoot up anything with no regard to what else may be mixed in. I've been clean for 7 years and it got me thinking how little one thinks of their health when using, I guess I was lucky in a way.

Now back to the film, the scientist's experiment with animals had a very undesirable effect so he tries to saves his ass by collecting the drugs from the dealers he gave them to with bad results, the acting wasn't anything special, the characters were completely underdeveloped & I had no empathy for any of them, A minute didn't go by where I wasn't reminded of how low budget the production was. It was painful at times towards the end as I waited for the credits to roll. I wouldn't recommend this to any hardcore horror-thriller fans, but if you like watching grungy addicts in a disgusting backdrop it may be for you.It's your basic 3 star horror flick. Watch but be warned.
