This Movie used to be on Netflix and so did the show, I very much enjoyed it as a kid. And I even found the show to be fun and Entertaining. However, I decided to watch it again, and it's still a whole lot of fun, and it is very short. It felt so quick, so let's review "My Babysitters a Vampire Slayer".
So two or should I say 3 dorky teens love Star Wars and other nerdy things like Computers and comics, and even space. But in the process that also means Ethan isn't great at looking after his little sister, so the parents need someone to look after them. And up to this point there's alot of funny jokes and teens being teens.
As Ethan gets his lunch, he hits the babysitter due to a lack of concentration. The Babysitter isn't bemused by this and gets angry. Just before they both realise, that she is the Babysitter, but what Ethan doesn't realise is she's so more then that.
She is a Vampire. And because Rory wants to be cooler and more popular he decides to go to a party, not realising the dangers he is in. However, that's where most of the Vampires are. We get alot of funny lines about how HOT the Babysitter is. So they all have to stop the Vampires.
It gets a 7 from me, because it is short and simple and effective enough, and doesn't drag like some other movies these days, decently fun.
Would I recommend this film?
Yes I would.

This Disney Channel Original Movie, I have to say, is a hit.
It has a nice plot, good actors, and plausible effects.
The characters are lovable.
Unlike other Disney Channel Original Movies, there isn't much corny/cheesy content. It may also appeal to the older audience. Some people may find it annoying that it is a parody of Twilight, but I don't and most people wont.
So after all, I would recommend this movie to anyone. It's amazing! WARNING: Parents should read the parental guide before allowing your kids to watch this, as it contains a few sexual references and mature content.

My Babysitter's A Vampire is the Disney version of Twilight. It may be a little cheesy and not particularly scary but it's a fun supernatural movie that is enjoyable to watch. The cast of characters are adorable yet goofy. It's nice to see some new talent and they actually do a really good job with engaging the audience.
I'm also very impressed with the concept and story idea. They seem to have thought out the idea as it had multi-dimensional plot lines that came together nicely in the end. Now I don't want to be too harsh so honestly I don't believe I would make any changes to improve the film. It's a solid effort and perfect spooky Halloween viewing.

I saw a DVD release of this, and technically it's not a master-piece (sound, image and editing), but content-wise it's one of the first movies in a long (looong) time that gets close to having the same excellent spirit that is in the old "nightmare on elm street" films :) Sure, it's not at all similar, in terms of story, but it just has that special something that makes it very enjoyable to watch.
Great cast :) The movie could easily have been longer. In fact it should have been, since there were some scenes that seemed to come out of the blue (Benny and the popcorn-girl scene, for example) like something was edited out.
It's quite obvious that this is a pilot to a serial, rather than made to be just a standalone film. But if you love the show, getting the backstory is very pleasing. In the show there are many references to past events, but in the film we finally (I saw the serial before the film, so everything is chronologically reverse for me) see these things happen :)
It's fun, it'll make you smile, it's friendly, and it's even a bit scary at times :)
All in all a keeper you can easily watch more than once :)
(I just wish it was released on bluray though, and with as good sound-quality as the show has when broadcast on Disney-channel. The DVD is sub-standard technically so that's why I give it 7 out of 10. The like-factor is higher)

After learning his fellow student babysitter is a vampire, a kid and his best friend team up with her to battle an evil vampire looking to harvest souls from the town's residents.
For a teeny-bopper vampire film, this one turned out to be a lot more fun than anticipated. One of the better features is that it manages to make the vamps something to be feared. Despite being set in a world of romantic vampire-lord, the creatures here are incredibly threatening and much more like traditional vampires, setting up a plan to steal souls, putting more interest in feasting than romanticizing and even openly attacking people to turn them into fellow vampires, making it a lot more savvy in dealing with these issues than would be expected. Even more telling is how much it deals with battling the vamps, managing to contain a lot more battles and confrontations which are a lot more intense, from the big brawl with the pizza-man to the raid on the house party as well as several other pretty big battles in here. These make the film a lot more action-packed and keeps it from being boring, as the darker-themed storyline and investigations also help out and the humor mixes well with the fair amount of suspense for a rather satisfying film. The only real down-side, aside from the lack of on-screen vampire violence, is the rather cheesy nature of this one derived from it's teen-centered approach as the jokes and attitudes towards what are supposedly-frightening figures who are instead treated as comical beings is a bit problematic to take for a more seasoned horror fan, yet strangely makes it a more-than-serviceable entry as a starter-horror feature.
Rated Unrated/PG: Violence and children-in-jeopardy.

- CuriosidadesThe original script was much darker and more terrifying, since at first it was planned to make a horror movie for young people and teenagers, however the script underwent certain modifications and some scenes were softened. However, the final project still contains references to black magic, the stealing of souls and the scene where Erika takes Rory's blood.
- Erros de gravaçãoWhen Ethan and Benny are watching the video that Rory sent them in the school hallway (before realizing that they will have to attend the Dusk movie premiere), they shouldn't have seen Rory on camera because, by that point in the movie, he was a full vampire. He shouldn't have showed up on camera.
