Those giving it low ratings are probably fans of lighter horror like horror comedies or rely too much on ghost sightings. But horror can come in many forms-including action horror-and this film proves it. Think Constantine, Dracula, or Hollywood-style zombie flicks: full of actions, intense, and entertaining.

The main character's background isn't fully explained, but not every story needs to start from zero and wrap up every detail. In fact, the mystery has potential to make another movie, and it turns out this film already has a sequel-so the unanswered questions can be explained later.

The storyline also feels more logical. For example, when a death occurs, there are legal consequences like imprisonment.

Possession scenes are handled thoughtfully, too. No need for dramatic ghost appearances-just the idea of a jinn (an invisible being) taking over a body is already disturbing. No need ghost visuals that ruin the tension.

In short, if you're looking for a horror film that's not typical, give this one a shot. It may not be perfect, but it's bold enough to break the formula-and that alone is worth watching.

Qodrat (2022) is an Indonesian horror film that masterfully blends exorcism with strong religious elements. Directed by Charles Gozali, the movie successfully creates a tense atmosphere through dark cinematography and chilling sound effects. Vino G. Bastian delivers an outstanding performance as a cleric who must confront an evil force terrorizing a village.

One of the film's strengths lies in its storytelling, which goes beyond mere horror and incorporates deep emotional layers. The main character is well-developed, allowing the audience to connect with his struggles. The exorcism scenes are executed effectively, building suspense without relying too heavily on jump scares.

However, Qodrat has a few weaknesses, such as some predictable horror tropes. Despite this, the film remains engaging, offering a unique experience with its religious undertones.

With strong performances, compelling cinematography, and effective horror elements, Qodrat earns a solid 8/10, cementing its place as a high-quality Indonesian horror film.

First of all, i never saw this much of action scenes in any horror film. The action scenes and the cinematography was great. For some moment i forgot that i was watching a horror film not a martial art film. The horror scenes were scary enough. But the i could not digest the action and horror and religion together. The storytelling was flawed. There were loopholes. But the film promises to have them cleared in the second Quodrat film. I wonder who would wait for that film. I laughted my lungs out after watching the ending. You can watch the film with freinds and cousins. It's a new kind of cinema.

This film deserves a higher rating.

It was a brilliant film to watch. I'm not even Indonesian. But I am Muslim. And I do like Indonesian horror. And this film is right up there with the best... In my top 3 indonesian horrors. Definitely.

It has it all.

Scenes that make you scared, scenes that make you smile. Scenes that make you angry with what you're witnessing and Scenes that make you cry. It really does dig up emotions and you feel for the characters. Feel their pain and their happiness.

It looked really good too. It probably has a higher budget in guessing but I haven't checked. Makeup was brilliant. So we're the special effects.

It was a pleasure to watch. And I will be recommending it to my friends and family.

First of all, it's a terrible film because it's completely confusing whether it's an action movie or a horror. The character development is a BIG ZERO, and the storyline is nothing special, honestly, you'll get bored. Sure, you might enjoy it if you haven't seen any good horror movies, but it's nowhere near the level of others in the genre.

I know it deserves more than 1 star because no movie is that bad every film has something good, even if I didn't like it. But I'm giving it 1 star because how on earth does it have more than 6 stars? Come on, it's below 3 for sure.

Watch it if you want to waste your time. It completely ruined our movie night. It's pure garbage.
