I've been watching this on YouTube. I like it. But have to take breaks because of it being so disturbing. But I guess I've watched all the ones on YouTube. Which is also disturbing. I just wondered if they were making anymore of them.
Commenting here only to warn those who have been in any form of abusive relationships.
Unfortunately, of the two episodes I watched, there was significant ignorance in the professionals interviewed in their understanding of abusive relationships. In particular, why the victims stay. They appear to be looking for logical reasons rather than understanding the manipulation and the extremely damaging effects it can cause.
This series appears to be for titillation rather than education or to better the poor situations so many find themselves in, through no fault of their own. Go ahead and watch but please don't use this as an example of how victims should be spoken of.

From reading the other reviews, I would say they are not true aficianados of the genre. Michelle Trachtenberg is terrible, though. Her makeup and wardrobe for the show make her look old and weird. And whoever scripted her dialogue has no compassion for the families involved. But the stories themselves are at least some I haven't seen before. And the telling of the tales is credible and adequate. There are too many different "experts" per episode, though. The show should have taken more time to look at the unfolding of events rather than analyzing what might have been going on in people's heads. The episode "Cheater's Collision Course" is the best.
I prefer this "Meet, Marry, Murder" series over the other series of the same title with Michelle Trachtenberg. I do like that there's a combination of US and UK cases, many of which I have not previously heard about.
Many of the cases are interesting...HOWEVER, a few of the "experts" are overly dramatic and unnecessary. Why, why, why is Carolyn Canville, the journalist not speaking to the audience, but looking off sideways? It's beyond distracting and quite annoying. Also, Brian Harris, the former police officer constantly repeats himself, again very annoying. These "experts" add nothing to the show when the actual narrator is able to explain the cases in a much more reasonable tone and manner.

It's a long series, some episodes are worth watching, some aren't. Sometimes there's a little too much glee put into the delivery, you have to remember that these are real people.
I've worked my way through the series, and there are definitely some interesting cases, as someone who's lived a very safe, sheltered, typical 9 to 5 life, it's something of an eye opener to see the lives some people have.
The most shocking episode, by far, the story of Manling Tsang Williams, honestly, the embodiment of evil.
Killings both in The UK and USA, we see both male and female killers. One issue I have the whole way though, the bias in how killers of both sexes are treated, the men are always, quite rightly vilified, each one of them is made out to be monstrous, no arguments.....the female killers however are not given the same vitriol, one so called expert in particular is hugely guilty of such bias.
There's a lot of Police bashing throughout, you won't here any positives about the many dedicated and honest Police who strive to keep us safe, any excuse to twist the knife, in it goes.
7/10.
