Stupidly I fell for the image of a monstrously giant crocodile's head and the raving text on the cover of this dvd. Well, it's total bogus, it's nothing more than an amateurish wannabe horror flick that fails on all accounts that matter. The premise is the only decent thing about it: a little group descends in an abandoned mining-cave in search for a lost person, and gets attacked by a herd of crocodiles. Everything else is rubbish.
The CGI-crafted crocodiles are a joke: they vary in seize from scene to scene, and especially when running through the cave-corridors in pursuit of yet another screaming member of the cast they look like waggling wound-up toy animals. They not only swim and run, but effortlessly jump through the massive cave walls and iron fences. They swallow people up in one bite, but can also be killed by plunging a simple stick in their jaws.
The cast (it's hard to believe that they are genuine actors) is constantly doing the stupidest things. During their attempted escapes, they time and again freeze in the exact spots where seconds later a croc pops up, instead of keep on running as every normal scared person would do. In the meantime the girls incessantly scream so excruciatingly loud that it makes your ears pop (it's a miracle it didn't chase the crocs away!). Ultimate stupid act: the last surviving girl finally reaches the waiting motorboat, succeeds in hauling herself on board and then does absolutely nothing but lying there and screaming her head off, in stead of doing the only sensible thing: starting the motor and racing the hell out of there! Exasperated I welcomed the closing credits: quiet at last!!
Save your money for some sharknado flick, they are just as silly but at least fun to watch. This meant to be deadly serious failure isn't even camp, it's just a dreary waste of time.
