Movie is quite precise because situations of women in our country is abnormal that how they are treated from birth to death . If you've seen the movie, you must've known, that women face a lot of traumatize situations from her childhood like her education, marriage conflicts, low attaintion of her own family, after marriage situations and also her fighting spirit for emerging from traumas .

Director's vision was completely based on substantial reality of a woman's life .

Director have shown a criticized shame for those who thinks that woman is a Borden for her family . A scene where some relatives are crying at marriage fairwell .( A sympathetical situation with a unsympathetic manner)

The movie has discussed periodically relevant social issues by smashing all the stereotypical concept existing in our society, Both hero and heroin outperformed, even all the characters were so realistic in nature.....Despite sending such a beautiful message to audience ... Director also brought humorous scenes.... Just watch it... There were so many moments in the film that I felt like this is something I'm so familiar with in real life and in cinema but never have I seen this portrayed with such fun and realism at the same time. Whenever domestic abuse news comes up people talk about various points where it should've stopped but those same people in Kerala will act like the family of Jaya in this film. This film opens up that hypocrisy in the most fun way possible. The character of Rajesh is very very familiar to me. The realism that may feel absurd to anyone outside of Indian culture is always pushed just a tiny bit so that it can be made into a fun movie. It is from Rajesh's action that I noticed the little tweak in realism. It is not enough to not call it realistic but still manage to do that so that the nuances are clearly conveyed in the most fun way. I'm really glad this became such a massive success in Kerala. There would be many Rajesh in the audience who would clap to this film and then go on doing the exact same thing to their wives.

I always like her movies she has been in .. But this movie was whole new level.

Ppl giving 7/10 rating for this is so sad. Best Malayalam movie i have seen. Thought nothing will beat Malayalam comedy kilukam. But this movie , I was laughing my heart out late at night. Was worried my neighbors will make a complain laughing too hard late night LOL.

I guess, some male chauvinist won't like this movie . It is high time Keralites bring more movies like this that showcases life of women in kerala / india.

The trailer for this film reminded me of The Great Indian Kitchen (a brilliant film about women's empowerment that you SHOULD watch) from the same industry. I thought, "Interesting. Curious to see HOW you're gonna tell this story, since it's already been told."

Fam, this was very different from TGIK. Jaya Hey takes a comedic approach to the storytelling and it really worked. I was afraid how they were gonna tackle a serious topic with a serious message, but just as it is the case with almost every Malayalam film, they've pulled it off.

The plot is simple, Jaya has aspirations in life. Wants to go to college, and do her own thing. The society has other plans for her. Married life is not what she thought it would be. Things fall apart and you can guess what the rest of the film is about.

The lead actors - great acting!! Story - kept it simple, life of an avg Indian housewife kinda plot - stuff that you'd have seen/heard of/watched in daily life. Writing - great!! There are two twists in the film that you won't see coming.

If TGIK was too serious of a film and too hard hitting for your liking, this is brilliant and you'll enjoy this, and I don't think that the comedic take takes away anything from the serious message at all. You'll enjoy this one.
