Burt Reynolds: The Last Interview

I enjoyed this film. It was inspiring to hear how to make your own movie without hollywood backing. I appreciate how it provides insight into what you need to make it happen, and some advice for how to do it properly. The interviews are with people who have personal knoweldge of the industry, and don't try to make it appear overly easy or simple. I also appreciate that they focused their dollars on the message and not on bells and whistles.

My only negative comment would be that I wish that it went more in depth. I would like to have learned more about certain aspects of the process, and unfortunately, the movie couldn't be 5 hours. Maybe do a sequel?

I have always been a big fan of Burt Reynolds from "Smokey and The Bandit", to "The Cannon Ball Run" This was the icing on the cake to see and hear a living legend. Excellent Documentary from start to finish, the film gives a authentic view of Burt and was shot in a way to keep you interested the entire time. To be able to see the last interview of Burt meant a lot as views always change throughout the years, and his career has been unbelievable with all his different films, the one that.stands out to me is " Deliverance" absolutely spectacular. This documentary is Fantastic and I give it 2 thumbs up!!

Burt Reynolds gets a nice sendoff with "Burt Reynolds: The Last Interview". Burt is really cool in this movie. He was flattered but many of the questions and you can see it in his face. This movie gives the respect that Burt deserves but seldom gets. When the interviewer twice compares Burt Reynolds and his legacy to that of John Wayne's, you can see the appreciation in Burt's eyes. It's great stuff. I'm not the biggest fan of Quentin Tarantino (far from it) but the stuff he says about working with Burt for a few weeks before he died is really nice too. "Burt Reynolds: The Last Interview" is a must watch for fans of Burt, like me.

Also, I appreciated the way the documentary made it feel as though we were in the same room with Burt Reynolds. It created an opportunity to feel a connection with him, as if we were getting to know him on a very personal level. It almost felt like I had spent time with Burt Reynolds after watching this documentary.

This is a film of Burt Reynolds talking unscripted, that gives you a clear vision of WHO this man really was. You'll have laughs and moments of tears. Unfortunately when you put yourself out there as a movie star, people will make attempts to bring you down. Burt Reynolds was a man with a very big heart and loved to help others. It was very interesting to listen to others (like Quentin Tarantino) who knew Burt, talk about him as they truly knew him. This film was very well done which included people who were very close to...the real Burt Reynolds. This is a documentary that my wife and I will be watching again.
