You'd think one who would take the time to produce and invest the money into making a feature-length movie would at least have the wherewithal to realize they are shooting the movie in Log mode, which produces a white filmy layer over the footage in order to color correct the movie with one single click of the mouse ... but yeah, no.. this filmmaker apparently does not even know what Log mode is, the mode he shot it in, nor that all the footage can be dramatically, vastly improved literally, with a single click of mouse.
This film is terrible, and neatly summarizes many of the young independent filmmakers that we have today who are producing this really, really awful stuff for streaming platforms, platforms that do not even care what it is they are streaming to people, at all. This movie and literally almost every independent horror movie today is sanitized, ultra-formulaic, juvenile, banal, poorly conceived and written and of very low quality.
I mean.. to shoot an entire movie in a mode that is designed for "one-click" color correction, and not even know it? Wow. Hard to believe, actually. Independent movies have never, ever been as bad as this stuff they are making today. Never. It's an all-time low. Add to this the fact that they are all ignoring what they audience actually wants, and what we have today a big soupy mess of horrifically bad, filmmaking drivel.

Terror Vision Pictures have been releasing the best horror in the indie scene! And campfire dead by Dawn is a great film for sure. Devon Commons as the writer and director of these films is such a great writer and hope for more horror films from this studio terror Vision Pictures. 'my house' was based on Ed Kemper story and I thought that movie was okay in terms of the music in it and some actors killed it but some didn't. Woods fever the first film (Devon Commons) produce was a dark suspense horror with great characters in development for sure. I recommend this writer/producer to anyone that loves great horror like myself for sure .
I don't know who the other two reviewers are, but I have my suspicions that they are friends, family or actors in the film. The first thing I noticed was a rather good-sized dirt spot on the lens in the beginning of the film, and it re-appeared again during the ending scenes in the field. I'm just surprised the cameraman didn't notice it and clean it.
They tried to give this film a soundtrack. The chosen music was a blend (to me, at least) of new age and light rock. Audio levels varied all over the place.
The script itself might have been workable, but there were some serious gaps in continuity as some real wooden acting as well.
To be fair, the film had some good scenes and gore effects as well, but all-in-all, I would recommend that it be re-edited, maybe some scenes re-shot and the audio/music fixed.

Heading out for a trip together, a group of friends decides to head out to the local woods to spend time together telling stories as an inspiration piece for an upcoming book one of them is going to write, but when they stumble upon an inhuman killer knocking them off must get out of the woods alive.
This was a watchable if somewhat flawed genre effort. The main likable factor in the film is the sense of straightforward slashing that goes on with the idea of the friends trapped in the woods and finding a killer involved. As there's a workable sort of story involving the group of friends venturing out into the woods for a camping trip and finding themselves stalked by an inhuman serial killer as this doesn't strain things too much with unnecessary elements being added onto a story that can support a flimsy setup that occurs here, this one works nicely in that regard. The idea of the group coming across the zombified killers and bringing them back to life to continue the rampage makes for a fun enough time at points with the body-hopping ability keeping things interesting as well due to bringing previously assumed dead victims back to further torment the characters in addition to the usual series of stalking scenes featuring the killer killing off everyone. None of these really stand out or are impressive at all, but they give this a somewhat intriguing energy in the second half does pull this up just enough. There are some issues with this one bringing it down. The main drawback to this one is the limiting low-budget qualifications that manage to become quite apparent at points here. This one struggles to get anything remotely interesting going for large stretches of the running time as the cheap budget is contingent on simply showing the group wandering around the woods hanging out, trying to get to know each other, or encountering the random stranger who shows up simply for the body count. Considering nothing happens from these encounters and this one tends to rely on conversation more than anything with the even more obvious sense of an illogically awful filmmaking process during this time highlighting even more how cheap everything is. From a fuzzy, washed-out look that makes everything have a soft glaze that's immensely distracting, unsynced audio that changes in intensity throughout here, and a lack of genuine light that makes it impossible to tell what's happening. On top of that, there's also the other issue with the cheapness here as the film cannot capitalize on the main driving factors a cheap slasher effort like this should have. The killer is an unimposing specimen who isn't even taller than the cast which gives everything a decidedly silly feel rather than the fear of someone who's going around killing people in the dark. Moreover, the inability of the kills to focus on or feature any kind of blood or gore at all with the weak special effects rendering everything into a series of aftermath shots involving fake blood smeared on their bodies if that even gets featured as several others are killed off-screen so it's not like even that gets a chance at being shown. Being left with a confusing motivation for what the whole rampage is supposedly based on and some disappointing missed opportunities for character development with the first half not doing anything to fix that, there are some problems with this one.
Rated Unrated/R: Graphic Language and Violence.

Lets start off with the brilliant writing on this film! Its terrifying just imagine to yourself in those woods alone with a mask killer that doesn't stop! The story keeps going none stop that had my heart. Pumping from beginning to end. I love independent horror movies and commercial. But this one i will recommend horror fans to see and put on their watchlist for sure. (Devon) is an awesome writer far as i can see with his. Previous films. This is a real campfire tale of horror with unforgettable characters that we will care about for sure. I wonder when will the book come out on this? I see it says based upon a short story in the beginning credits.
