Drag Race Germany

Love the host Barbie who seems really genuine and committed to the Queens. Also lots of talented competitors taking part. Marred by some off kilter judging and a sense they'd decided who was going to win from the outset. Also some weird guest judge choices. They often seemed awkward and completely surplus to requirements.

Now That final - that was shocking. However creative the winner is (and they are as they served some great looks) that was not a winning performance. Hope Season 2 will build on and improve on Season 1 and maybe not try to stage manage all the outcomes - or at least do it more smoothly so "the strings" aren't quite so obvious!!!!!

The final of the three Columbia-filmed Drag Races with those giant unwieldy werk room mirrors and needlessly long seasons is the most inexplicable. Unlike continental friends Mexico and Brazil, Germany is a long way from home and this mostly young cast seem out of their depth. Same with the likeable host Barbie Breakout who may, or may not be, co-hosting with ever-present pleasant-but-dull boyfriend Gianni Jovanovic. The overwhelming vibe is one of awkwardness, they are surrounded by people who don't get them or speak their language (even one of the judges). It's all very weird. There is a genuine sense of camaraderie here though that's absent from both Mexico and Brazil and some star turns who definitely made it worth watching. If we get another season though - maybe... make it closer to home?

Listen, we're germans got teased since Rupaul's Drag Race Season 3 or 4 that we might be getting our own Show just that the License got always to an bad Company which couldn't end up doing nothing because of Mangement Issues and spoiler: Paramount + removed Drag Race Germany after 3 Months it got released. So to finally have our own Show, even if the Stage is shared by Mexico, Brasil ect. Was just lovely to experience.

The Drama was good in the Show while being not too dramatic on some Scenes, the Challanges we're good but a bit repetitve with having some Challanges repeated just in a bit diffrent and the Cast was great and deffentily carried the Show.

However the Riggory was there. A lot, and i mean it: a lot of Times and i mostly disagreed how the Judges rated the Queens. Also they we're a lot of Cringey Bits in there (and i'm not talking about the Snatch Game, because that was funny) and you could feel that the whole Show was on a budget, even on a higher end tho.

In the end was Drag Race Germany Season 1 a good Season for us germans but you could tell that they was too much interferences from other People and the budget for the musicals could've been way better than what they gave them.
