The sounds made by the deep sea dwellers as they build themselves thanks to all the rubbish would quickly start an awkward beat, only to be completely distorted when they are forcefully and repeatedly merged together.
This is another fantastic world to explore thanks to Colgrave's insatiable imagination, filled with 3d items so well rendered that you can almost pick them from the screen. Boings, bangs and other onomatopoeia that make up the music drive this short ; a place where our stuff defines the ever-changing house of cards of interests and personality traits we've stacked on top of each other for ourselves, all making unique tunes that won't last but will change.

There's so much to highlight in this exceptionally creative and imaginative animated short film. First, the color scheme is absolutely stunning. The film uses a wide and vibrant palette to portray a world full of contrasts and to help distinguish the many different objects-of which there are plenty. This is especially important, as the film is highly dynamic and events unfold rapidly.
Second, the characters are incredibly unique. I can't even begin to understand how the director came up with so many strange combinations of "donks." We've all seen avatar-like figures in video games, but this takes it to the next level. You start noticing tiny details-absurd, clever, and wildly imaginative creations of things that don't exist-and it's honestly mind-blowing. Keep in mind that these "donks" are ultimately made from ocean plastic and other trash dumped into the sea.
Third, the sound design is fascinating. It fits the story well, yet the sounds are not what you'd typically expect from an ocean setting. Still, they carry an eerie echo, evocative of underwater acoustics.
All in all, a very intriguing and thought-provoking experience!
