'It's Alive', reborn

A couple (Johnny Vivash and Kathryn Louise) with a symbolic apple orchard obtain help from a bio-tech company to have a perfect, healthy baby. As the child grows however it develops some nasty habits. Writer/director Tariq Sayed's 2023 feature film is an SF/horror tale set in the very near future and tackling the topic of 'Frankenstein babies' - genetically modified lab created ones. Unfortunately there seems to be a case of 'mad human disease', seemingly brought about by an 'unsuitable diet'. Filmed in locations in Herefordshire, and also featuring Bosco Hogan and Catriona MacColl, this has a vital theme - designer babies - but is rather bungled in the telling, with amateur dramatics performances.
