There are only two episodes, but I'm already hooked. It's a great production, with great cast and an interesting plot. The story can feels like something we've seen before, but here's the twist: she travels back in time after someone tries to kill her, just after the mysterious death of her husband on their honeymoon. The merging of the two worlds is very well executed in this drama. The acting is phenomenal and the chemistry very good. The female lead is a funny, strong and interesting character. Once again, Lee Se Young proves her versatility and plays to perfection. I recommend this series without hesitation!
The Story of Park's Marriage Contract is a wonderful drama starring Bae In Hyuk and Lee Se Young with a beautiful balance of Historical (Old Joseon) mixed with Modern Times (New Joseon), Fantasy (time-travel) romance and light comedy.
For those that don't usually watch historical drama's, it will draw you in with it's perfect balance and that says a lot - initially the marriage contract theme caught my attention which adds the love story, romance and light comedy in modern society. I did get drawn in right away with the historical episodes with the wonderful early love story, the beauty of the FL and the costuming and sets which always catches my attention. The male lead Bae In Hyuk who plays Kang Tae Ha is just as captivating with his acting and handsomeness.
In the modern Joseon I loved the costuming again and how the Old Joseon style was fused with New Joseon and particularly loved Kang Tae Ha's embroidered shirt which was a turning point for the 2 main leads and their "butterflies".
The reason I gave it 9 stars instead of 10 is that quite honestly, I had no idea how many episodes there was going to be - had no idea if it were 16 episodes or what. When I watched episode 12 I actually didn't know it was the final until about halfway through it when I started to think - wait, what? Is this the final? I shouldn't have to guess that and it actually didn't become 100% clear until the last moments to me. I think the ending could have been better but still well worth watching.

This had such amazing start, episode one was one of the best episodes I have ever watched, the storytelling was so captivating and what an emotional story, I actually cried. So believe me when I say I was really looking forward to the rest of the series, but what a let down.
The rest of episodes were just a bunch of empty filling scenes with overdramatic characters and underwhelming subplots.
Majority if the cast in this are very experienced and tge acting is superb, but the script is just too silly and nonsensical.
I give it a 6 mainly because the actual main plot and storyline of their past life was extremely good and interesting but they could have done it in just 4/6 episodes. The modern storyline was just dragging and lacking an actual plot.
I guess you will love this if you are into telenovelas and enjoy very extreme and dramatic plots.

Based on the web-comic of the same name written by Angelique and Kim Neo-ul. Park Yeon-woo (Lee Se-young) is a rebellious noblewoman living in the Confucian Joseon era whom is arranged to wed Kang Tae-ha (Bae In-hyuk). When she is kidnapped and thrown into a well following his death, Park Yeon-woo discovers that she has transported 200 years in time to where she comes across an identical version of her deceased husband. Park Yeon-woo heeds this second chance to rekindle a relationship with the man she loves and adapts to this modern setting. While uncovering the mystery as to why she was sent to this time-period.
The series has made a home in my heart due to the all of the astonishing performances from the cast members. Lee Se-young was the perfect choice for the female lead. Deserving all of the recognition as she seamlessly portrays a fish-out-of-water who utilizes all her skills towards making an impact on those around her. Especially on the cold-and-calculated amalgamation of Kang Tae-ha (Bae In-hyuk) who she shares noteworthy onscreen chemistry with.
This drama was truly an enjoyable experience. Containing likable characters whom the viewer becomes invested in as we root for them to have the happy endings they deserve. Twists-and-turns catch the viewer by surprise when we believe we have everything figured out. Whilst certain plot-holes and plot-points remain unresolved and left to the interpretation of the audience. The script could have been more polished. But the ambiguity is welcomed as it fits within the storyline. The finale concludes on an emotional note which leaves a lasting imprint on the viewer. I would love to see a continuation for these characters that we have grown attached to because it's difficult to say goodbye. I believe this season is deserving of a rewatch as I'll revisit Yeon-woo's unforgettable journey towards self-fulfillment.

What a beautiful, swoon worthy story. The lead actors were both super good looking and their chemistry was amazing right from the 1st episode. I liked them both in modern roles as well as the historical roles, a special mention to the very cute dimples of the ML that made him extra handsome. The second leads were amazing too, there were too many good looking people in the show, and some known character artists and everyone played their characters well. Time travel and reincarnation shows are my weakness and this show had elements of both making it well worth the screen time. In all, it was a very watchable, likeable series which will remain close to my heart.
