The play is exactly what you would expect from an 80s themed production of this play, The Comedy of Errors, with very accurate costumes and setting. This is one of Shakespeare's earliest plays and the writing and pretense is very much of his early writings. The physical comedy is good, and well done by the actors. But the Acapella style music/singing is painful, seriously bad. Kind of brings down the play.
This production was done during the pandemic and so this is staged outside and has a few gags that are appropriate for the pandemic, like disinfectant. But seriously, the music was painfully distracting.
