I follow Michael Henry on insta and he's hysterical! I was totally looking forward to Wish You Were Queer and it didn't disappoint. This show is fantastic. Enjoyed every single bit. I would totally recommend it! Tim is great too! They're a hit comedy duo. It's amazing how they are able to work off of each other. They should do a second season going across more of America! Let everyone laugh with their sexy asses! Great show. Trixie is wonderful too of course. I've turned many of my friends into watching them as well. We would all love to go see them when they come here to New York. Hope it's soon. Trixie please send them to NY!!
Michael and Tim are entertaining, funny, and heartwarming. They'll make you feel all the feels while laughing your ass off at the same time. Their authenticity and relatability shine through in every episode. The concept of the show is perfect-and they do an amazing job making you feel like you're right there on the road with them!
What makes Michael and Tim so special is the effortless way they blend humor with real, honest moments. One minute you're laughing out loud at a ridiculous story or witty banter, and the next you're nodding along to something deeply human and heartfelt. It's rare to find that kind of emotional range in a show that's also this entertaining.
The chemistry between them is undeniable. You can tell these two have a genuine connection, and that makes the experience even more enjoyable. They know exactly how to play off each other's strengths-whether it's with comedic timing, personal stories, or thoughtful insights. It feels like you're just hanging out with two close friends who happen to be hilarious and wildly insightful.
The road trip concept is brilliant. There's something inherently nostalgic and freeing about being on the road, and they capture that spirit perfectly. From quirky pit stops to comical conversations behind the wheel, you get a little bit of everything-and all of it feels real and unscripted in the best way.
This show is a breath of fresh air. It's the kind of content that leaves you feeling lighter, happier, and more connected to the people around you. If you're looking for something that's as funny and will leave you wanting more you won't find better than Michael and Tim! Bravo Wish you were Queer!

The feel of this show brings me back to the fun era of blurred camp and reality show from the LogoTV aughts. Michael and Tims chemistry along with Trixie makes this an easy binge, majorly fun and silly TV. Think the Simple Life meets We're Here.
It feels to me like an homage to early online content but through the lens of our current day and struggles which is sorely needed given the current climate of the world.
The premise is based around a comedy show Tim and Michael want to put together, but Trixie Mattel first enlists them to prove their worth on the road across middle America with a series of stand up performances.

Perhaps we can call it gaysploitation trash too. I tried to watch many shows that come from contestants of the Drag Race, but this one is a collaboration of a comedy? Duo and Trixie Mattel. The recipe is always the same. There is some obscure gay humor which works only if you are a part of the scene, mixed with some slapstick, low hanging fruit vulgarity, which was provocative 40 years ago. Then there is overacting, taught through Drag Race challenges, which makes sense on a stage, where those who can act overshadow those who don't. Some think this is entertaining even outside of Drag Race, so when they get a chance to create their own show they run with it. It's just trash, and not the good kind. It's like an obscure hard core music scene where quality doesn't matter, but the camaraderie. It's more important to support each other than to produce quality content.
The show shines light on what the community looks like outside of the bubble of big, liberal cities. The undeniable chemistry between Michael Henry and Tim makes you feel at ease and safe to laugh and enjoy the ride.
Drag Race alum Trixie Mattel has some fun, over the top moments, however Michael and Tim's friendship and comedy is in the forefront and the heart of the show. The self deprecating humor, banter between the main characters, and genuine reactions prompted by unscripted moments really shine through.
Overall a super easy watch that manages to keep you engaged and rooting for the comedy duo.
