I watched this movie with my ex-girlfriend after 2 months of no contact. We watched it because we were looking to reunite after a concerning amount of sexual tension within our shared Pinterest board. This movie definitely rekindled the spark between us. Instead of fighting we were rooting for our favorite final girl Billy. The number of purposeful scenes such as Billy deepthroating a hotdog in the background for the first 5 minutes really got our loins pulsating. Let's just say this film really made for a steamy school night discord call. My kitten and my kitten ;) were purring. Please rekindle with your lovers by watching this Glenn Berggotez classic. Best director period sis.

Here's what I learned about the director: he's 5'10"
That's it.
That and he looks like he's 50 and is flaming
What's the point of girls in hot tubs if the film is black and white?
It's a big let down.
And guess what? The other part of this film that's annoying is that there are no midget zombies. Don't expect munchkin land gone amok. I think that most of the "midgets" are on their knees to make them look smaller.Once the camera pulls back you can see how tall they are!

I usually give 10-stars on everything but alas this is not one of those movies.
1. All actors are way too freakin old - let's have a hot tub party cuz parents are out of town! Hmm. Yeah.
2. Title is misleading - could have been Human Nugget Zombie Takeover or Short Person Zombies as most zombies were Tom Cruise sized.
3. If a zombie bites, there's blood. Even if it was ketchup, there would be something, instead of a zombie looking like it's necking with some bro's leg.
4. Billy DID STEAL the show - up until this point. He was the only reason this gets a 1-star. That hotdog loving Billy.
I couldn't make it past the point of when the zombies showed up. I like garbage but this was just too much for even me to handle.

First, one midget does not equal a takeover. Second with all of the talk of white washing in movies I had taken a small stand hoping all roles in entertainment the more realistic like when a super hot woman or if you are so inclined hot guy puts glasses on and everyone pretends they aren't attractive well this piece of crap has cured me of that nonsense. Many people who I'm sure hide under bulky clothes all of the time for some reason showed themselves here are they brave, stupid or drunk only they know. And lastly when was the last time a group of 30 year olds waited for someone's parents to have people over said parents house for a party for maybe the smallest commercial hot tub ever. If this is real life that life is very sad and I almost feel bad making fun of it. Almost and then I remember the train wreck I just suffered and make fun of it with glee. If you are tired of people asking you what you want to watch and then say oh I don't care and complain about what you pick. Pick this and no one will bother you again.
Young twentysomething Amanda (Kristi McKay) deciding to throw a party after her parents depart was quite possibly the worst idea she could have. She invites over several of her friends for a weekend of fun and carelessness, when their party is crashed by none other than midget zombies hellbent on destruction. The gang takes refuge in Amanda's house and simply tries to stakeout for as long as they possibly can under uncertain circumstances.
For this reason alone, Midget Zombie Takeover lives up to its title because it gives the viewer exactly what they want. Shot for $2,000 and not appearing to waste a dime of it, it comes off as a movie or a shot that I, myself, probably would've made with a close friend of mine if I had continued. This provides a close-to-home feel and a simple justification for the reason I enjoyed the camaraderie and silliness of the picture.
This doesn't look like any horror film you're likely to have seen. It's shot under available sound conditions (some of the early party scenes are very difficult to hear) and lighting conditions, and features some amateur acting and special effects. This adds to its credibility and fun but also orchestrates something that is rather disengaging. Even at seventy-two minutes there's only so much one can take from this overly-silly, rambunctious material. Once the idea is out there and the gears of the plot have been running for about forty minutes, you sort of feel yourself becoming cold to the material.
The film was directed by Glenn Berggoetz, whose film The Worst Movie EVER! made headlines for grossing only $11 opening weekend from one ticket sale. Clearly, quantity of the film's gross and quality don't go hand-in-hand because the film was a fun, genial little endeavor that showed the joys of low-budget filmmaking and tremendously laughable plot lines in action, all at a concise seventy-five minutes. Berggoetz seems to be one of the only filmmakers today that wants to channel the Mystery Science Theater-movie style and I'd say he is more than qualified. Midget Zombie Takeover can be testy at times as far as pacing goes, but nonetheless, the amateurism provides a close-to-home nature, the action is kind of fun, and it's pleasant and harmless all the more.
NOTE: Midget Zombie Takeover will be screening at festivals throughout the United States. Additional information can be found on the film's Facebook page, https://www.facebook.com/MidgetZombieTakeover
