The biggest flaw in this movie was the constant use of the F cuss word and loose morals. I don't know if the first movie was this bad or not, I must have watched an edited version bc I don't remember this kind of language being used or so much talk about sex. That part of Double iSmart was very difficult to sit through. I really liked the first movie, Ismart Shankar, it was a little rough around the edges morally, but not completely offensive like this movie. And why do all Indian movies have to be so violent?! That was awful to sit through. The movie had multiple plot holes, which I've come to expect from Indian movies. The guy who played the villain, Sanjay Dutt, is way too old to play this part. He was painful to watch. Ram Pothineni was amazing, seriously. I love the iSmart character that he created. I'm a huge fan of his past movies. His new stuff seems to be a bit edgy tho and I really like clean movies. I was really annoyed that there was no clear connection between iSmart Shankar and Dbl iSmart, but that goes back to those famous Indian movie plot holes. I kind of expected that. And I've seen several Indian movies where the sequel is just another story using the same characters but no clear correlation between the two plots whatsoever. I sat through this movie at the theater and didn't get up and leave, I loved every second Ram was on screen (he's just too beautiful to ignore), the songs weren't that great (again, too immoral for my tastes), and the story was too much of a stretch. I wouldn't watch it again and I wish I had waited for it to come out on streaming so I could have fast forwarded through all of the violence and lewd music and maybe the F word would have been edited out.
I don't know how I'm still alive after watching this movie. It's such a terrible film, completely illogical. The story is awful and the direction is even worse. The movie is never serious at any point, and the action scenes are so illogical that I couldn't help but laugh at them. What's even worse is that this is supposed to be a sequel to the 2019 movie "iSmart Shankar," where Shankar had Arun's (movie character) memory in his brain, but there's no mention of that memory in this movie. The movie includes a forced comedy character just to add some unnecessary humor. It's a complete WASTE OF TIME that I've already wasted.... The only good thing about the movie is Sanjay Dutt, and that's it.
Unsure if Puri himself reads this review. I have always admired Puri for his dialogues and story telling. However, this movie was a hard watch. Glad that I skimmed it through on Amazon prime. Second half is painful. I don't know why they introduced Pragathi as old pochamma. The character lacks depth. There is no detail in character sketching and the plot is wafer thin. Ali's comedy is funny but he uses derogatory language often. Ram is too loud and he often uses filthy language as well. Sanjay dutt is wasted. Unsure why he is casted in the first place. I would request Puri to focus on the characterisation and the plot. Unwanted action sequences and unreal events are no longer appreciated by the audience.
I can't even begin to describe how disappointing this movie is. The Telugu audience has evolved to appreciate quality cinema, regardless of budget, and often turns smaller films into hits. However, it seems like the directors and actors haven't updated their approach to match the changing tastes of the audience.
The misogynistic traits of the lead character, along with Ali's irritating performance, were unbearable. The glorification of women objectification was absolutely appalling.
Throughout the movie, I felt like walking out of the theater. If I had watched it at home, I would have sped through it just to avoid the unpleasant experience.
As a movie enthusiast, I usually make it a point to sit through a film, no matter how bad it is. But this one stands among the worst I've seen. Excessive action, vulgar dialogues, indecent gestures, and overacting never makes a movie good.

Horrible movie from puri, movie is really bad and ali's character is so degraded . Pure 2 hours of torture. Over all very bad experience watching this movie. Absolutely not recommended to watch with family. No proper screen play and there is no logic and meaning in the story. Extreme vulgar vocabulary used in the movie which is not at all comfortable. Waste of time. Movies are for relaxation and this movie do not serve the purpose at at metre. Sanjay dutt is an excellent actor from bollywood but I feel he is not utilized as per his caliber. There is complete absence of audio management throughout the film.
