Nagendran's Honeymoons

The series was much better compared to the some of the recently released 'feel good' movies. It is a simple story that revolves mostly around two characters played by Suraj and Prashant. The episodes are paced very slow and relaxed but you wont feel bored. There are some stretches where there are no dialogues. The sets were stunning and the cinematography was excellent. They did a good job making everything look convincing, given how difficult it is to capture a story set years ago. I watched the movie with my parents and they also thoroughly enjoyed it. Everyone who was part of the movie including senior actors like Janardharan played their character really well. I was really happy to see him in a movie again. This is NOT a comedy series, it's a slow paced series that you can sit back, relax and makes you feel nostalgic.

"Nagendran's Honeymoon" is a cinematic vlog which can be added as a new genre. It's neither a serious subject, a thriller, nor a comedy. Instead, it presents itself as an extended cinematic vlog, which can be prescribed for insomnia disease. (Hopefully they invented a oraganic medicine)

From the very first episode, I found myself questioning how the director managed to convince a producer to back this project. It soon became clear that the director himself produced the film, likely because no one else would have taken the risk on such an unconventional project. The cast is impressive, possibly due to the director being the son of renowned filmmaker Renji Panikar.

As a passionate film enthusiast, watching "Nagendran's Honeymoon" was an exercise in frustration and confusion. The script and direction are, unfortunately, the weakest aspects of the film. The narrative lacks coherence and fails to engage the audience, making it a tedious watch. This raises concerns about the current state of the industry and the kind of content being produced.

However, not everything about the film is disappointing. The technical aspects, including cinematography and sound design, are commendable. The actors, especially Kani Kusruti, deliver strong performances despite the weak script. Kani Kusruti's portrayal stands out, bringing depth and nuance to her character, which is a testament to her talent and dedication.

This is a masterpiece. I don't understand why some people did not like this.

It has a fresh story which is extremely entertaining. Each character is brilliant in their performances. Superb acting by everyone. Direction is awesome and background music is awesome, matching scenes perfectly.

Hindi movie and tv industry must learn from this series on how to make quality content. No oneracting nor nudity. You get addicted and anxious to see next episode.

I watched it dubbed in hindi. But I am sure it is more brilliant in native language. Each story is unique and end is epic.

I strongly recommend to watch this masterpiece.

The series set in 70s provide the same flawed narrative style of formula movies. The script has nothing new to offer and narrative has no novelty left. Cinematography and art direction was the only saving grace capturing essence of period time. The cast in paper was solid, but in screen they didn't have much to offer than to play with blant narrative. Among actors Kanni, Grace, Alex and Suraj did a commendable role.

The plot had a definite scope to turn into comedy, thrilling entertainer fell flat with overflowing clichés. The music also at times was very irritating and at times comical not in a good sense. It was more like bad imitation of Johnson Mash's music.

Directed by Nithin Renji Panicker starring Suraj Venjaramoodu, Prashant Alexander, Grace Antony, Kani Kusruthi, Shwetha Menon, Alphy Panjikaran, and Niranjana Anoop in leading roles.

An attempt for laughter but did not strike too well.

Nagendran played by Suraj a person who is known for his laziness & irresponsibility suddenly one fine moment decides to go to abroad but for that he undergoes 5 marriages & how Nagendran find ways to escape from each marriage is all about this show.

Nithin Renji Panicker who is known for making mass films like Kasaba, Kaaval, so when he was coming up with a web series there was expectations but it failed. There were laughter's but it was not as expected. Also, a tortoise mode approach story telling making 30 minutes not a fun watch.

Performance wise we could see a different Suraj here that what stands out in this web series. Prashant Alexander who is portraying character of Nagendran's buddy also gave a light to the show.

Except Kani Kusruthi, rest 4 lead heroines did not add any value to the show.

Overall, Nagendran's Honeymoons is a watchable if you are Nagendran.
