Criminal Minds Evolution: Unfolding Evolution

I loved Criminal Minds and never missed an episode. But this reboot just doesn't have the same feel. Too much arguing for my taste.

I do like that most of the original characters and actors are in it. But I miss the ones who aren't!

One thing that I noticed is that Penelope seems to be more a part of the investigative team as opposed to being the computer whizz and more on the sideline. I kind of wonder how that happened.

I really don't know if I like it or not. Maybe I need to go back to the last season of the original show and see if it connects with this reboot. I will keep watching and maybe it will get better.

I don't like this new format of same plot dragging on and on. I'm BORED already. I liked the old plots where they concentrated on catching the killers and how they went about doing that in 1 episode.

The old cast are good but they seem to be a step behind the criminals at all times. They appear very weak, vulnerable and more dysfunctional than a unit that supposedly knows criminals minds.

Don't like the interpersonal relationships between the cast as well they appear more forced. I loved the old criminal minds and was excited for this but it very lack lustre. Also I miss Spencer Reid!! Was hoping Hotch came back too.

I love Criminal Minds Evolution but the new season's language is extremely disappointing. The latest episode had disturbing language at least 10 times within the first few minutes. All streaming channels now feel they have to use disturbing language to get the viewers attention. I really hope the writers also conclude the Voit storyline. Every new episode ties back to Voit and it is getting tiresome. I really like the episodes that are new each week with some of the main characters continuing their storyline. Please improve the language for the rest of us that do not talk like that. Thank you.

This is the absolute best writing I've seen in years! The plot is intriguing, the twists and turns are unpredictable, and it's extremely exciting. I always enjoyed Criminal Minds, but this is truly on the edge of your seat writing. It is true that some of the cast from previous Criminal Minds shows are not present, which probably cannot be helped, but the remaining cast is still excellent! I truly hope they make more seasons. Whoever the writers are, they should keep writing!!! After so many flops of remaking classic movies and ruining them, this is truly a breath of fresh air. I for one am hooked!

This is a show that should never have been revived. I just finished episode 6 and I don't know if I will make it to the end.

The show just doesn't work without Dr. Reid.

The story is as exciting as watching paint dry. A 3-4 episode arc at best is stretched out to 10 episodes. Yawn.

I'm tired of Penelope wearing clothes with her boobs hanging out. That was never appropriate dress for an FBI employee. And she just gets whinier and more pathetic as the story progresses.

Paget Brewster seems to have lost the ability to act.

Joe Mantegna - always a delight but we once again got the trope of "guy/gal talks to people who aren't there." At least for once it really was an indication of a mental problem (unlike every other time this happens in a show).

Please please please please please can we stop with the trope where the cops storm into a room and the bad guy just happens to be next to the hostage with a knife at her throat? I actually swore at the TV when this happened yet again. There must be a rule where every hostage incident on TV has to end in this type of standoff. The only time this was ever done right was on Firefly where instead of a negotiation, Malcolm just pulled his gun and shot the bad guy without breaking stride or saying a word.
