Within the Walls

I rented this little gem on Amazon and I was super impressed by this film. It's a psychological thriller, with a little bit of mystery to it. Coming from a writer's standpoint, it has really good narrative drive. The plot keeps you guessing. I was also impressed by the acting. Everyone was solid. The lead was amazing! I feel like I've seen him before, I will have to look up and see what else he's been in.

I feel like this could be a movie series with the kind of plot that it has, or maybe at least have a sequel.

I also like that it has some action in it. The fighting was very realistic and not martialarty if you know what I mean. And I like that.

It's not a perfect 10, but darn near close in my book.

I saw the trailer to this movie and thought, okay, this looks interesting, I'll give it a shot. And I was totally surprised. It had a slow 15 minute start, and then it took off. I was engrossed in the story, the character, I couldn't help but to feel sorry for him, and I was rooting for him at the same time. I felt like I was trapped in the room with him, lol.

When I saw the trailer, I wasn't sure about all the fighting, but when I watched it everything made sense as it was related to the plot.

And the ending, I couldn't help it, I was crying, in a good way. After everything the guy went through, I was really satisfied with the way it ended.

Overall, this was a great movie! This movie had the action I wanted minus the R-rated junk. Additionally it was faith based and that's always a plus - infact, more than a plus! I loved the creative work of this movie and leaving the audience with trying to put the clues together - we got it and it made sense! It was great! Although, I was a little reluctant on paying as high for the rental, I understand with up and coming producers that needs have to be met. Besides, I'm willing to pay a little more for a faith based movie anyways, because we support each other! If I had any criticism, I'd say: 1) Make it a little more faith based although it was pretty good; 2) there were really no curse words but my family really don't like the abbreviations either, and there was one scene like that. Thats about it! I could get a little more in detail but don't want to spoil the movie! Last words, it was a great movie! I support all of Andrew's movies and consider me a subscriber!
