It's difficult to describe this amazingly incoherent mess of a movie without dumbing it down to "it's so bad that it's good". Nothing makes sense, the acting is non-existent, and there there are multiple plot lines/threads that seem entirely disconnected from each other. The three "siblings" all look absolutely nothing alike, each have different, unplaceable accents, and at one point when one of the siblings seems to suddenly disappear/get hurt, the other two give this incident about 10 seconds of thought before carrying on as if they'd never been a part of the movie. It's a must watch movie simply because you are guaranteed to laugh for all the wrong (right?) reasons throughout this dumpster fire. Every other review here was clearly written by a cast member or friend/relative of someone involved, minus the 1 star review which is accurate in terms of movie quality, but misleading in terms of pure entertainment value given it's by far the worst movie I've ever sat through but I just couldn't stop watching and couldn't stop laughing. My friend badgered me constantly to watch this movie... and boy am I glad that I finally succumbed. We are both eagerly awaiting the supposed sequel (?) that was announced. Oh - and I failed to mention that a good portion of the movie seems to be an ill-advised attempt as an advertisement for "Come See Beautiful Gibraltar", and I suspect that some not insignificant portion of the movie was perhaps subsidized by Gibraltar? Otherwise I can't fathom how this was ever made/green-lighted. Maybe Martin Nuza simply has a passion for burning piles of cash? Either way, it's a must-see, and even more importantly a must-share!
The film offers an intriguing blend of historical mystery and action-thriller elements. Director Martin Nuza creates a tense atmosphere, particularly within the claustrophobic setting of Gibraltar's WWII tunnels. The film follows siblings on a quest for hidden family wealth, a journey that quickly takes a dangerous turn.
The film's strength lies in its setting and the initial mystery surrounding the tunnels. The historical backdrop provides a solid foundation for the narrative, and the exploration of these subterranean spaces is visually engaging. Nuza effectively uses the confined environment to build suspense.
The performances are great. The supporting cast adds some familiar faces to the mix, which contributes to the overall feel of the film.
The action sequences are well-executed. They serve their purpose in driving the plot forward and maintaining a sense of urgency.
The film introduces a compelling central threat, adding a layer of suspense beyond the initial treasure hunt. This element keeps the audience engaged as the story unfolds.
Overall, In Tenebras is a decent thriller that delivers on its promise of suspense and action within a unique historical setting. It's an enjoyable watch for fans of the genre.

From reading the title of this film (In Tenebras: Into the Darkness), one would tend the think that the movie would be a serious drama. Factor in the historical setting of World War II, Germany (i.e. Nazi atrocities), and suggestions of carrying out a "sinister agenda" at whatever price. Those themes would lead one to believe that this would be a significant, serious, and important historical film. It was none of those things.
In fact, after watching this movie, I can say with all honesty: What a God awful movie.
I can't believe there was a production company anywhere on the planet that would want be within two feet of this monstrosity. This movie is a carbuncle on the landscape of cinema.
The actors are ninth grade class play caliber, at best. The screenplay was laughably unintelligent.
I DO NOT recommend this movie to ANYONE.
Horrible. Horrible. Horrible. Horrible.

Active independent producer, Martin Nuza, wrote, shot, and directed In Tenebras: Into the Darkness and the film is out this week via Gravitas Ventures! Viewers can count on an exquisitely shot thriller featuring beautiful location shooting in Gibraltar! The film goes from wide-open vistas to claustrophobic tension in a quest story for a lost treasure or a key in Gibraltar's tunnels. Once in the tunnel, the film's cast is challenged to stay alive in spite of their military training.
Nuza's film also stars the-always good, Michael Paré and Costas Mandylor! There are also fine performances by Johan Wickholm, Tayah Kansik, and Franky Lankester.

"In Tenebras: Into the Darkness" is an absolute masterpiece! From the breathtaking locations in Gibraltar to the hauntingly beautiful score, this film is a visual and auditory delight. The cast delivers stellar performances, fully immersing the audience in its gripping narrative. Every scene is layered with suspense, mystery, and action, making it impossible to look away. It's clear that immense effort, creativity, and thought went into every aspect of production, resulting in a seamless blend of thrills and chills. I highly recommend it to anyone who loves a captivating adventure filled with twists and heart-pounding moments. A must-watch!
