Incredible acting, I binged watched it all in 24 hours. Cried lots, especially at the end. I was only aware of the spin that Jean Charles jumped the barrier and was acting suspiciously, don't recall hearing that it was untrue until watching the show. There is so much injustice around the whole situation, the fact they could even suggest for a second that the men looked alike was astounding. Would encourage everyone to watch this, if only to educate on the ineptitude of the police and how their main aim to protect and serve the 1%, not the rest of the country. Justice for Jean Charles DeMenezes.
After so many lies and injustices with poor Jean, finally the true story of the brazilian being executed by British police told by them. The series is very well made, excellent acting of an unfortunate day.
The story follows a documentary police line, showing the individualities of each character, their emotions, the moments of their lives at the time: Jean, the ordinary people who were around him at the time, the police officers involved and even the terrorists. It makes you feel a seesaw of feelings that involve pressure, fear, indignation, many lies, media manipulation, injustices. An action thriller with many emotions. It is well worth watching.

This is an excellent min series. The script & acting are both top notch. I believe it does stay close to the truth and is historically correct.
It's hard to imagine the lengths suicide bombers go to in the belief of their cause. The carnage and deaths they caused in 2005 was horrific, it is also unforgivable. However, the cover up & lies by senior members of the Metropolitan Police is equally unforgivable. However, how on earth they remained in position & in the case of Cressida Dick get promoted to the highest of high positions is hard to stomach.
This is a tragic true story of a young g man who was killed in horrific circumstances.
I found every episode brilliant, but the final part is absolutely excellent and very emotional.
I wholeheartedly recommend this series.

Jean De Menezes, a 27-year-old Brazilian working as an electrician in London, boarded the tube at Stockwell station on the morning of 22 July 2005. Moments later, before the carriage doors could close, armed police sprinted on to the train and shot him seven times, point blank, in the head. De Menezes had been mistaken for a suicide bomber; he was entirely innocent of any crime.
This expertly researched, cast and produced 4 part series dissects the events leading up to the shooting, the shooting itself (horrific), and the subsequent attempt by some of the police and cronies to discredit and deflect from the truth of what was undeniably a horrendously flawed operation leading to a cold-blooded public execution.
Be prepared to shout at the telly a few times, and be heartbroken by his traumatized family's attempts to make sense of it and get justice for Jean.

I Am Outraged by the Murder of an Innocent Person by the Police
I am filled with anger and disbelief over the killing of an innocent person by those who are supposed to protect us - the police. What makes this even more infuriating is the shameless way in which responsibility is being denied and brushed aside.
Is it really that difficult to accept the consequences - to step down as a commander, a police officer, or anyone else responsible - and to face the truth with honor and courage? Is accountability such a foreign concept? I truly wonder how these people manage to sleep at night, knowing what they've done or what they've allowed to happen.
Justice isn't just a word - it's a duty. And right now, it feels like those in charge have abandoned both justice and humanity.
