Look to the Light

This film presents a thoughtful, inspirational, and tumultuous portrayal of a young couple's relationship in a 'fame obsessed' modern Britain. It tastefully explores difficult and complex emotional themes, fully developed through fantastic and occasionally heartbreaking performances.

There were many quiet sobs in the screening I attended.

The film takes time to delve into the motivations of the main characters, allowing the audience to truly understand and relate to their lives. Beautifully shot and accompanied by an excellent soundtrack, the music perfectly enhances the emotional impact of each scene. It was a joy to both watch and listen to.

I highly recommend this Indie movie to anyone who appreciates deeply moving and well-crafted cinema.

Very thought provoking film. Story line portrays very current topic. With the idea of being famous high on our current generation of teens agenda. The film is a stark warning at the price of fame and how young people are not always equipped with the tools to deal with it emotionally.

Lilly Brunson was very convincing in her performance of a young person in a relationship, when fame is offered to her boyfriend she pays the price. Charlie Goddard, was also very convincing in his role.

Both are worthy of their roles and portray the films plot very well indeed.

A very well made independent film.

This film takes you on a journey, the cinematography, writing, music and acting all come together to create what is a memorable and thought provoking film.

I feel the subject matter is not one that is touched on enough in movies, it looks at what goes on in the mind of someone who wants fast track fame through reality tv and the effect it has on his relationships. It's intriguing and interesting to see the reality behind reality tv.

The character development (which I know is a bit of a film buzz word) Is truly there. The characters really go on a journey and you are there gripped with them the entire time.

Some might think they see where this film is going but at the last minute I do believe it surprises you. This film is not predictable like most movies. It is an independent movie that competes way above its weight class.

Most certainly worth a watch.

Wow, what a fantastic first venture in to independent film making from Chris Manoe, and everyone Agency 105. At a first glance, this seemingly basic storyline is one of love, loss, family ties and the true price of fame. The soundtrack offers support to the complex changes in the story and character development. The Cinematographer has clearly understood the assignment here, and I'm excited to see what the future holds for their next film. Bright stars in all categories. A shout out to Mark Moraghan who plays Martin, I felt he was the gel that held the family together. I had heard that he wasn't the first choice for the role and took the gig with only a week before filming! Incredible stuff. Thank you for creating something with substance that challenges the way we see ourselves.

Thought provoking film on interpersonal relationships, impacts of decisions and living with the consequences.

The start, slow at first, depicts the start of a spiral as a result of decisions.

Although the film speaks to a relationship between parties, it further challenges the impact of a family on this relationship - the meddling, the lack of understanding l, etc.

There are trigger warnings in this film - be aware prior to watching. However it is a well thought out and narrated film that had me glued to the screen, through the happy and the guy wrenching moments.

The review rating the film has received perhaps more accurately depicts persons whom did not make it past the initial slow start.
