This is a masterpiece.
The excellent storyline is fast paced, combat is phenomenal and the Vfx used is a great leap from what we are all used to in nollywood.
Acting is top notch and I dare say this is an AMVCA award material.
Set design gave more life to the story with a very clear and adaptive use of natural elements like the mountain side.
More importance on the actually storyline, which creatively reflects some societal flaws in Africa's leadership.
Lateef, bukunmi and femi Adebayo really aced the screenplay with a strong presence and flawless acting.
Further applause to the director, producer, and editors of the great movie.
Big ups!

The movie was a true spectacle, delivering a fantastic cinematic experience that resonated with its exceptional cast and enthralling visual effects. As I settled into the theater, the anticipation was palpable, and I must say, my expectations were met with flying colors. From the very beginning, the film's world-building and immersive storytelling style captivated my attention.
While my overall enjoyment was immense, I couldn't help but reflect on the dynamics of character development that we've witnessed in films like Anikulapo. The depth and richness brought to characters in that context really added layers to the narrative. It made me realize that even in a visually striking movie, a well-crafted character background can be the extra ingredient that elevates the story.
One aspect that particularly caught my attention was the protagonist's backstory. Though the movie gave us a glimpse into their life, it left me craving more. A deeper exploration of their journey, motivations, and perhaps the circumstances that granted them the unique ability to communicate with and command trees would have truly added an intriguing layer to the narrative. This kind of character insight can establish a stronger emotional connection between the audience and the story's unfolding events.
Despite this longing for a more profound character exposition, I still find myself engrossed in the film's visual marvels and the overall unfolding of the plot. The stunning visuals alone deserve commendation, and coupled with the commendable performances of the cast, the movie undoubtedly holds its own.
Taking everything into consideration, if I were to rate the movie, I would confidently give it a solid 7.5 out of 10. The film managed to hold my attention, provide a captivating experience, and ignite my curiosity, but it left room for that extra layer of depth that could have truly set it apart. Nonetheless, it's a cinematic journey I'm glad to have embarked upon, and I'm looking forward to more creations from this talented team.

Jagun Jagun The Warrior
This tells the story of a mercenary warlord who becomes jealous of the rise of an underling.
With a staggering number of a-list actors, it comes as no surprise that Jagun Jagun is splendidly acted. Lateef Adedimeji is a wonderful lead, and Femi Adebayo provides a menacing antagonist. The supporting cast of Bukunmi Oluwashina, and Fathia Williams among others also deliver great performances.
There's a lot to praise about this Nollywood flick; Jagun Jagun is aided well by its costuming, the soundtrack and the cinematography. The cultural representation of the Yoruba people is very brilliant. It's also delightful to see that the dialogues were also well thought out, this helps bring life to the scenes, even the predictable ones. There's also a splendid plot twist in its final moments.
Jagun Jagun is gory but in a necessary way. It uses violence in an assured manner that isn't meant to shock but to accompany the story.
The movie also finds a subtle yet discernable way to infuse its themes of political malady, political thuggery and hooliganism.
For its flaws, the pacing of the plot wasn't always clean, and the visual effects could have used more work (the underwater scene is a clear example). The fight scenes for a Nigerian movie were splendid, but on a world scale, it still needed better choreography and direction.
7/10.

If you see any rating below 7, know that the person either doesn't recognise good movies or he or she is just hating.
The movie went beyond expectation really. The fight scenes, the special effects, the sound effect, everything was well thought out and the effort put in the movie was waaaaaaay worth it.
Nollywood standard has been raised by quite a distance by this movie. Femi Adebayo deserves his flowers. Even the whole cast itself was wonderful. Showcasing the yoruba culture while at the same time speaking about the current issues in the Country was well thought out.
Great movie and YOU should watch.

We loved King of Thieves and we love Jagun Jagun even more😍
A round of applause for the Adebayo brothers for coming up with such an outstanding script and production. Jagun Jagun was a one-of-a-kind story. It was bloody, violent, full of rage, and carried a great message.
DELICIOUS
-We experienced the warrior energy: the scuffles, clashes of swords, and passion to kill.
There was fear in the atmosphere with the sound and visual effects when evil spirits were around, especially when Agemo😱
-The make-up was well done, the team paid attention to little details even making the teeth dirty
-Strong dialogues on board as well as relevant and inspirational proverbs
-Art direction was flawless. We were right away invited into the historical time. Nothing to criticize when it came to the costume design
-Soundtrack radiated the agony, power, and mystery reigning in the story
-Lateef Adedimeji proved once again what an excellent actor he is. He was a brave man full of determination that stood against injustice.
Femi Adebayo, barely had any emotions on his face, accentuating how heartless he was.
Kudos to Bukunmi Oluwashina, Aisha Lawal, and the rest of the supporting cast
-It was obvious that injustice was dominant everywhere. People were being killed like mosquitoes and the main purpose of the story was to put a stop to it. And the call to rise up and fight was so needed
BLAND
---Tiny misses included the slow pace of the storytelling at the beginning.
The lighting of the night scenes clearly used electricity so it didn't appear real.
The editing at times cut the score too suddenly when transitioning to the next scene
The VFX moment in the underwater scene looked really fake + a small continuity issue
But compared to the amazing work produced, these tiny misses can be overlooked. Bravo!
