Good Deed Gone Bad

I couldn't finish this one. One could argue that the copious profanity and violence was necessary for the plot, but the movie self-consciously focuses on those to the exclusion of better plot and character development.

The idea that a technically sharp guy can break into an iPhone in a matter of seconds, then trace its owner via an IP address is laughable. It wouldn't be that difficult to develop a more plausible scenario for such a key moment in the plot--if only the writers cared enough about their craft to do so.

Every one of the many, many hit men and hit women struck me as grossly incompetent at their jobs. None of them act swiftly or decisively; instead they slowly strut around and chat with their victims before feebly attempting their hits.

On he positive side, the structure of the movie is striking and unusual. A third of the runtime passes before the opening credits. There is just as much backstory as there is plot.
