I enjoyed the Buds TV Pilot because it was funny. It also brings awareness to the struggles of a young man on the spectrum who is struggling with addictions and social awkwardness. Nick Shugg plays this role really well. Devon played by Kai Johnson is Corey's flatmate and it's obvious they have a great friendship. Judy played by Angel Paulos is fond of Corey but he's awkward around most people but especially females. I'm really looking forward to seeing if Judy and Corey get together. I highly recommend this tv series. It's real, honest, funny and entertaining. I hope to see the full series come together. Well done to the Producers Simon, Katy Eyvbowho, Nick Shugg, Director Kai Johnson and all the team.
Just watched the episode it's great I can't wait for more episodes. Great cast great music great storyline overall it's gonna be a great show. This show tackles alot things within it and will make people relate and help them if they have the same issues in their life.
The episode can have a couple improvements like some audio was quiet but that will be fixed in the final cut. I am so proud to watch it and get to experience something one of my friends made and he had a great crew working for him. Bring on the rest of the episodes and cant wait to meet the cast in person one day and they can tell me how it was making the show etc.

It seems Buds' first episode offers familiar comedic tropes like the "perfect rock star" and his "clueless sidekick," their execution felt one-dimensional and lazy. Slapstick gags dominated the humor, with only hints of wit. The supporting character's portrayal, though meant to be funny, teetered on insensitivity depicting Autism. While the characters weren't unlikable, their storylines lacked depth and engagement. Overall, this episode fell short of expectations, but I remain cautiously optimistic. Future episodes could delve deeper, explore layered humor, and build more compelling narratives.
Wow so I stumbled upon this on a streaming site where I'm in a short film I acted in. This was So unexpected from a stoner comedy, I've been looking for info on a next episode but seems it's just a pilot for now according to socials.
So in this pilot Basically it's two guys going to a party, that simple ,but the way that it all ties together is so good.
One of the main two guys 'Corey' has autism but he's like Jimmy Carrr with the way he speaks, there's some super funny dialogue, reminds me more of a nineties show with its look as well as its kinda offensiveness sometimes. It really is a throw back to the point you only know it's not that old because they use tinder at the start.
I absolutely adored the character Jonah, he had one line that literally made my laugh until i cried. It's one of those episodes where it all ties into an ending , maybe the show will follow suit like that, hard to tell, but at this point I'm just hoping there's more, highly recommend this,

After been recommended to watch the Buds pilot from a friend I wasn't disappointed.
It's a type of humour you don't see anymore, the closest I can compare it to would be the show Loudermilk, mostly for the music elitism's and crude mockery humour. But muck like Loudermilk it seems to play to the heart enough to make you care, especially with one of main characters "Corey" who is on the spectrum, but he's kinda high functioning and has a really engaging love interest, most likely a future story arc.
Corey's best friend and smooth guy singer Devon spends most his time in the episode trying to score two girls which ends...well I can't say without spoiling.
I really hope there's more coming soon, i rarely leave reviews but this was too funny.
If you like Loudermilk, The Ringer and old Kevin Smith movies then this is right up your alley. If you don't like those things then ya probably gonna hate it...
