Mourning in Lod epitomizes the immediate and dire need to end inequality, discrimination, hate, and violence in the Middle East and globally. Advanced nations, both big and small, may have a high level of economic development and living standards, but they are inferior and deficient in improving the overall social well-being of all of their citizens. They fail to attain civic engagement and the basic human needs of respect and peaceful coexistence. A true Democracy is flexible, tolerant, and embraces all of its people. Diversity and inclusivity empowers and benefits the entirety of a society, its neighboring countries, and sets a standard for the world.
