The Inspired Unemployed (Impractical Jokers)

Nothing will ever beat the original show so it is difficult to compete. The show has some funny bits but it's hard to watch a lot of recycled challenges and punishments without the magic of the original crew. The show name is absolutely horrible. Should have just called it Impractical Jokers Australia. Some of the interactions seem set up and the comedy isn't as creative as the American version. The crew are decent but they are all too similar to each other that it holds the comedy back a bit. I hate to keep comparing it to the original but with the American crew, what helps make things funny is how diverse they are as characters (Sal being overly dramatic, Joe being a little over weight, Q looking "homeless" and Murr being the one they throw under the bus all the time). Having watched the original series multiple times over, the Australian version is a nice break and breath of fresh air.

I am a huge fan of the original Impractical Jokers and so was hesitant to watch this one. But I am happy to say it is pretty similar to the original, if not worse, in regards to the level of second hand embarrassment I got. I was also happy to see that they used some of the same skits that the original impractical jokers used throughout their show. The only complaint I would have is that sometimes the challenges given to the jokers are actually too outrageous, which results in them instantly ending up on the loser board a bit too easily. Other than that, I would say if you are looking for a show like impractical jokers this is the one for you, just with an Australian accent.

This show has made me cry laughing more than any other show has. Everyone is so funny and I would love to do this in real life. It's funny, most of the time. There are some parts where I didn't laugh once. It's always in the middle period of the show. The punishments can range funny to just plain cruel. However, that won't change anything from me watching Season 3. In fact, I'm rewatching the show just to remind of what I love. Watching their other show The List while making this review is so funny. Not as good as The Inspired Unemployed (Impractical) Jokers but it's as funny as The Inspired Unemployed (Impractical) Jokers. All Aussies need to watch this show as fast as they can.

Really awful. Absolutely not funny. The original guys had proper chemistry, a camaraderie and charm. There is none of this with these guys, they just are not funny.

Stick to the original for real laughs.

Sal, Q, Murray and until he left recently, Joe made a fantastic show that's one of my favourite tv programmes.

The inspired unemployed is what the show would be like without the greatness of what the US guys bring. It really only works because of the US guys.

Do yourself a favour and watch the US original version, then try watching this.

Chalk and cheese.

Funny and utterly unfunny.

Good and really bad.

Tired jokes that have been done to death. Jokes that have never been done before and there's a reason for that. It seems to lack actual humour and mirth. It's not even jackass level slapstick shock comedy. It's just.... lame.

There are so many Australians with fantastic senses of humour, timing and execution and these guys seem to have stuck their heads in the sand for as long as it took to completely ignore all of them. And because they had some sort of successful following before they managed to supplant other talented people that were more deserving.

How they got a TV show contract is well and truly beyond me.
