Response: The Struggle for Trost, Part 6

Higher rated, please? This is literally one of the most underrated episodes in the entire series. This one definitely one of the best episodes to ever touch the entire humanity of everything inside the outerverse. Anyways, my favorite characters in this episode were Armin, Eren, and Mikasa. My favorite things about this episode were the ending, the dialogue, and especially the antagonists. Honestly, this is the one episode that I rate for now and ask myself, "What will the ratings be like once I get to the second, third, and fourth season of the show, especially the fourth one?". This is just an amazing episode.

A trend with episodes 9 and 10 so far have been: Interesting plotpoints, held back but comedically bad pacing. Episodes 10 especially takes place through about 2-3 in-universe minutes, but is streched to a ludicrous 22 minutes through never-ending internal monologues. Even the dialogue feels unnatrually strecthed, especially with the military boss trying to execute the trio. The irony of saying "We are wasting valuable time and manpower dealing with you 3" while simultaneously giving a minute-long speech about why exactly he's trying to execute them, when a simple "We saw you turn into a titan, prove to us you're not a threat or we'll have no other choice but to take you out." Would suffice.

Even if the story is intriguing, it's a really bad viewing experience to spend 22 minutes watching what feels like 5 minutes of meaningful dialouge and plot progression.

This episode is one of the most underrated in the series and touches on the humanity of the characters. My favorite characters were Armin, Eren, and Mikasa, and I especially enjoyed the ending, dialogue, and antagonists. I wonder how the ratings will change as the show progresses. This episode was focused on Armin and was well-developed with great use of flashbacks and a perfect OST. Armin's speech was tremendous and sets up the Battle of Trost for more action-packed episodes.

We can say about this episode that it is a pure freaking GEAM. In my opinion it is so underrated and it deserves more that this lwo rate!!

Ep 10 feels less like a punch to the gut and more like a grim, tactical regrouping after the sheer shock of the previous episode. It's a moment of profound, thoughtful tension, a gear shift that is both welcome and, perhaps, a touch less thrilling.

This episode excels at exploring the immediate ramifications of the massive turning point. The focus here is on strategy and character reactions, showcasing how humanity grapples with this new, terrifying variable. The sense of suspense is palpable, building slowly and surely as our heroes are forced to confront an impossible situation with intellect rather than just brute force. It's a clever and necessary instalment that elevates the stakes beyond simple survival.

Following the heart-stopping revelation of Ep 9, this instalment can feel like a slight dip in pace. It trades raw spectacle for exposition and planning, which, while crucial for the plot's progression, might not have the same breathless intensity.

While perfectly solid, it feels more like a necessary bridge to the next major confrontation than a standalone high point in itself.
