Let me be honest! Went into the movie with a lot of expectations considering a lot of reviews mentioned in IMDB above. Adding multiple layers of twists in a suspense movie is the current trend. Wholly the movie is built on the same premise of showing a single scene in various possible forms. There is no natural flow in the film. Jumping from one scene to another mindlessly. Acting also seems to be subpar overall although the attempts made by the Lead characters cannot be discounted. Background score also seems to be in shambles with volume raising and dropping randomly and attempting to display the brilliance of twist using the background score for hapless twists is a sad attempt.
Building a negative character is necessary for movies with suspense but that doesn't mean that you bring in mental health and professionals without proper background checks. To an already stigmatizing world, this is just an addition that tries to use the mental illness angle as a possible layer of twist but fails to build it properly. Overall a sad and stigmatizing movie.
PS You might like it if you are enthralled by layers of mindless twists.

Raam Ganni's 'The Trail' delves into captivating mysteries, fusing suspense and emotion seamlessly. With Spandana Palli, Yug Raam, and Vamsi Kotu leading an exceptional cast, the film, a creation of SS Films Productions and Commonman Productions, navigates the intricacies of Ajay's mysterious demise. Ganni's directorial finesse, coupled with Saikumaar Daara's visually evocative cinematography and Srikanth Patnaik's precise editing, paints a canvas of enigma. 'The Trail' invites viewers into a world of emotional complexity, where hidden layers are peeled away with every revelation. A cinematic journey that transcends boundaries, leaving audiences pondering the depths of human connections.
This story undoubtedly had a good potential and was promising but what ruined everything was the terrible forced acting by the leads. There was nothing natural, effortless or believable about their acting. It was almost like watching a school drama or much worse. If only they had a better cast who could act well. And please don't forcibly include English lines and words if they can't pronounce it right. I even heard the lead actress butchering the movie name in a press meet or event. Make up was terrible as well. The only other good thing about this movie is it's short and thank goodness for that.
This one weaves a thoroughly engaging narrative, and the performances of Vamsi Kotu and Yug Raam are the threads that bind this tapestry of suspense. Vamsi Kotu's portrayal adds an element of intrigue and intellect, keeping the audience hooked with every investigative move. On the other hand, Yug Raam's emotional journey is the heartbeat of the film, pulsating with highs and lows that resonate with the viewers' own emotions. The narrative unfolds like a well-crafted puzzle, and the performances of these two actors turn each piece into a moment of cinematic brilliance. A narrative that keeps you guessing, with performances that keep you invested.
