What Really Matters

These four Pure Taboo scenes released on a Devil's Film DVD don't feature much in the way of taboo content, just plenty of sex.

A nothing script by Midnight adds up to nothing in this scene that doesn't even live up to its title: "When Your Past Comes Knocking".

Billy Boston can't act at all in the pivotal NonSex role, ruining the segment right from the git-go. He's on the run and stops off to say goodbye to his sister (Spencer Bradley) on his road to nowhere. They reminisce a bit, and then a creep shows up in the person of Derrick Pierce.

Who he is doesn't get explained, but evidently he's a low-level gangster who has caught up with Billy, who owes bad guys a lot of money. Spencer tries to help offering to pay, but Pierce scoffs at that -it's a big debt. Immediately she proposes sex if he'll let Billy go, and sleazy Derrick agrees.

The rest of the scene is gonzo sex, with Spencer switching from acting a character to just sex worker action. Ending is dull, especially due to Boston's amateurish walk-through. Even though he's watched the sex scene helplessly, there's no point to his being there beyond the set-up. David Lord directed listlessly.

Hazel Moore has sex with her former stepdad John Strong (mom divorced him) in this routine incest teaser titled "Making Up for Lost Time".

Jamie Michelle plays her mom, who sends her to live with ex-stepdaddy for a couple of weeks while she's out of town. The kid hasn't seen her dad since the divorce, and both look forward to the reunion.

Strong plays it straight but seems a bit sinister here, especially because he has her try on sexy clothing and then choses a sexy movie for them to watch at home. He easily seduces her, after emphasizing that since the divorce they really have no relationship to each other.

It's an uneventful sex vignette, ending not with a plot twist but just the usual "Don't tell mom".

Though she's cast in a NonSex role, Penny Barber's the reason to watch this Pure Taboo segment. Her acting sells the scene: "Nothing's Too Good for My Boy".

She plays a teacher with cheerleader Sophia Burns in her class. She suggests that Sophia get tutoring to improve her grades and volunteers to have her son Ricky Spanish be the tutor. Soon the real reason for her interest is revealed: she acts as a sort of procurer for her boy, getting girls she approves of to service him sexually -only wants the best for her dear kid.

Sophia balks at the idea, but Penny offers her good grades in return. The scene picks up steam as he humps Sophia in the classroom with Penny delighted and offering instruction all the way. Anal sex is emphasized. No surprise that it leads to a 100% amoral ending.

Sophia Burns has a different scene playing a naive intern in the mediocre segment "Never Meet Your Heroes", which plays mechanically until a non-ending, as if writer Penicio Del Toro forgot to finish the story. Reason is probably that in porn, after the final cum shot there's often no interest in finishing a story.

She is working on the presidential campaign of Rachael Cavalli, a role I would assign to Stormy Daniels instead. To help attract more female voters, Rachael asks Sophia to be "the other woman" in a fabricated scandal involving her husband Seth Gamble, to make femme voters sympathize with candidate Cavalli as the injured party.

Sophia has expressed her admiration for Rachael as a role model, and feels insulted by such an offer, but Cavalli easily convinces her to accept. This is not believable, and once Sophia starts humping Seth she steps completely out of character, even talking dirty like a pro.
