If there were a contest for the worst horror film, and this movie were my rival, I'd definitely lose.

"Mystery Writer" is incredibly exasperating. The plot is chaotic and nonsensical, the acting is subpar, and the editing is outdated and poorly done.

Throughout the movie, I fell asleep twice, only staying awake because of the snacks I ordered. When I was awake, the jump scares made me and the others laugh at how TERRIBLE they were. It's unbelievably awful.

It's a shame because the movie had SO MUCH POTENTIAL, but every single aspect was executed terribly.

Overall, the movie had great potential but was let down by poor execution in every aspect. Do not recommend.
