A flawed but fun movie
Dinosaur Resurgence is a pretty fun movie! It's no masterpiece, but if you're looking for a dinosaur film that isn't Jurassic Park, it definitely gets the job done. The soundtrack is absolutely fantastic-while some might argue that the movie would have benefitted from a traditional score, the music is so good that it doesn't really matter.
The animation, however, is a mixed bag. You can tell multiple people worked on it because, for most of the movie, it maintains a consistent style, but occasionally, it shifts-sometimes to a better one, and other times to an absolutely horrible one. Some parts of the film feel rushed, while others drag on too long, and there are a few scenes that feel entirely unnecessary. There are also noticeable spelling mistakes, editing errors, and, of course, insane levels of plot armor... until it suddenly runs out at the end (no spoilers). That said, the movie does have the guts to kill off a lot of characters, even if they aren't the main kids-until it does. Again, no spoilers.
For a first movie made by some kids, it's honestly very impressive. The action sequences are epic, and the music is incredible, but the film obviously has its fair share of issues. The editing, particularly when it comes to sound effects, is extremely rough. There's no voice acting, so at times, it's either complete silence or just background music, which can feel awkward. However, if you're watching this with friends-especially if you know all the characters and lore-you'll be jumping up and down with excitement.
One of the biggest highlights is the dinosaur villain, who is genuinely terrifying and does some truly horrible things. The movie sets up the T. Rex as the big bad at first, but then, about 50 minutes in, this guy shows up-and it's a game-changer.
The dialogue and humor are hit-or-miss. It fits the characters well, and sometimes it's genuinely funny, but other times, it feels like something a 12-year-old wrote... which isn't too far off. The film also has a ton of characters, which means some of the main ones only get around four minutes of screen time. That said, almost everyone is incredibly likable, so I'd give it an 8/10.
...Or at least, I would if I wasn't the director. 10/10. Michael White is in it, and I made the movie, so it's a masterpiece.

Everything you could ask for in a Dinosaur movie
So a few days ago, the new Dinosaur movie "Dinosaur Resurgence" got released and it is probably one of the better recent Dinosaur movies. The animation was lovely and there were likeable characters you could actually root for. The variety of Dinosaurs appearing is also one of the highlights of this movie, just like the soundtrack, which uses some classic 80's or 90's songs. Without spoiling too much, the villain, was on a different level, by how menacing it was. Perhaps sometimes the camera zoomed into the characters faces a bit too much, and some might also say, that some scenes could have been cut or shortened, but these are some minor complaints which don't take anything away from the greatness of this movie.
Overall, a great way to broaden the variety of modern Paleomedia and generally do a great job at keeping the viewer entertained
Final score: 9/10.
