If anyone ever asked me what cinematic disaster looks like, I would point to this so-called "piece of art. An obvious plot that hits you in the face from the very first minute, and "actors" who would be much better suited for a different "genre". It feels like the screenwriter of this filmic abomination was paid with a bottle of cheap port wine - which also served as his main source of inspiration. The era of films like this with such plot and message has, in my opinion, long since passed. But the creators seem blissfully unaware of that, just as they are of even the most basic sense of taste.

Ask Me What You Want turned out to be an absolute thrill to watch. I really, really enjoyed it so much more than I expected. The eroticism in the film was filmed with intensity and boldness, it wasn't shy about being raw and passionate, yet it still managed to be tasteful and engaging. The leads had crackling chemistry, and every scene felt emotionally and sexually tense.

Apart from the sensual elements, the plot itself was surprisingly good. It wasn't just there as an excuse for sexy scenes, there was genuine character development, tension, and emotional resonance that engaged me. I was actively interested in the characters' quest, cheering them along with every twist and turn.

And then. The conclusion struck. It was a big "WTF" moment, for sure. After all the movie set up, the conclusion went in a direction that left me just sitting there, in shock, trying to wrap my head around what had just transpired. It wasn't bad, just utterly unexpected. It actually made the experience more memorable in a way because it refused to follow predictable conventions.

Overall, Ask Me What You Want dished out a heady mix of passion, drama, and shock, and I lapped up every minute of it, even if the ending turned my brain upside down for a while.
