Two Worlds

The theme of this BL series is about multiverse. The focus of this series isn't about the sci-fi part, though. It's more heavy to the drama-romance part. For those who follow the Max-Nat ship, this one is a must-see. The story and the plot is way better than Cutie Pie where they only served as a side couple, or even Naughty Babe where they played the main roles. The series tells a story about Khram (Nat) who accidentally crossed over to the other universe through a lake which served as a portal whenever it turns blue during the full moon. He met the other Thai (Max) who is his lover in that universe. The visual was beautiful, the plot was straight forward, and the acting was decent from most actors. There are some explicit scenes in this series. I'm just giving you a heads up, this series is not PG13.

Visuals and Production Design: The series excels in its visual presentation, effectively distinguishing between the two worlds through distinct aesthetics. The modern world is depicted with sleek, urban settings, while the parallel world is characterized by its enchanting, traditional landscapes. The production design and special effects enhance the fantastical elements, immersing viewers in the dual realities.

Themes and Messages: "Two Worlds" explores significant themes such as self-discovery, the conflict between progress and tradition, and the power of love and destiny. The series prompts viewers to reflect on the choices we make and the paths we follow, offering a thought-provoking narrative that resonates on multiple levels.

Direction and Pacing: The direction ensures a smooth transition between the two worlds, maintaining a cohesive and engaging storyline. The pacing is well-balanced, allowing for both character development and plot progression. The suspense and intrigue build effectively, keeping viewers invested in the unfolding drama.

This is probably my favorite MaxNat series they've done so far.

The main concern I had going into it was the confusing plot line from the trailer but watching the series there is little/no confusion for the most part. After setting things up in the first two episodes with explanation of the two parallel worlds, the rest of the series is pretty straight forward. The pacing could've been better and is probably my biggest complaint, especially in the last episode, I felt this series needed two more eps because I feel we didn't get much time with the second couple and some other things could've been a bit more fleshed out.

I was a bit hesitant about how Nat's acting would be with this new partner but Nat and Gun's chemistry is great to start out with, not awkward at all; very well done. There are some moments where Nat falls short in certain scenes but overall I see great improvement with him especially in later eps. On the other hand I wholeheartedly enjoyed Max as W1 and W2 Tai and would definitely like to see him play more diverse roles like this.

I loved the gradual build up of chemistry between Max and Nat's characters as Tai and Kram. Those two are absolute sweethearts and a couple worth rooting for a happy ending.
