The host is kind of obnoxious. Poor man's Javier Bardem tries to be too sexy and suave. It's also annoying how it revolves around it being his game, his bus, his everything. Excuse me but we know he didn't invent the competition, he has a whole team behind him. Also there is a character named biggie and he is so obnoxious. He screams in a large southern draw at the camera. Every-time he hits the camera I put it on mute. You can tell the producers are feeding him lines and told him to go over the top with it. The game builds drama for having methods every episode to screw over other players: They reward the top player but everyone else its just as good as finishing last .I just found Jeffrey to be annoying, and biggie got on my nerves, and I'm from the south. You can pass in this.
I found the first episode to be rather disappointing, but I am enjoying the following episodes. This is a competitive game, so strategy is part of the story. But what I enjoy most is what can be learned about the various cities and their environs. This includes architecture, natural wonders, and culture in general. It is not the same as being there, but some of us will have to settle for that.
"The Amazing Race" is more immersive, so it has more to offer.
The clues the contestants receive along the way are rather elementary. I am hoping they become more difficult in later episodes, rewarding the better players.
Jeffrey Dean Morgan is an interesting host. I rather like his laid-back style, which keeps the focus on gameplay, not on him.

I love geography. And I particularly love European geography. And I so wanted to watch this series. But it has one major flaw. The people are terrible at geography and foreign culture. Foreign flags. Foreign anything. Honestly, they don't seem to know anything about anything! They are utterly and completely clueless. Such a shame and a waste of an opportunity for a great show.
Also, the solutions to the problems are way too easy. The locations are way too obvious. I suppose it's made for the masses. What the typical American might know about European geography. I get it, but but geesh, no one's going to learn anything about Europe or European geography by watching this show. It's all so incredibly basic.

This show brings us a potential A+ competition show. There's so much to praise for its tributes to the vistas, sounds, aromas and other treasures of travel. What is making me frustrated is the show's total disregard for viewers, like me, who are trying to play along. For example, we are presented about a dozen landmarks in London that players (AND viewers) are obliged to choose as answers. But we viewers never see the list so we can comprehend and play along. There are examples of this over snd over in this first season. The concept works so well for me! Jeffrey Dean zmorgan is perfect. But, this show doesn't appear to want the engsgement of viewers. The vlues that are revealed st the end are just kinda irritating because we viewers never really had a chance to meet them.
Show was mids at best, then I realized that's what you get when the majority of your female contestants are OF girls.
Insane casting decision I must say but I'm guessing someone high up in production was in cahoots with these girls.
Yikes.
Show itself was just alright. Had some interesting twists thrown in that were original to the show and that I did appreciate.
One of my biggest criticisms is the late show character additions. I don't think that was fair and a lot of my friends that also watched the show said the same thing.
All in all you'll be entertained, but don't go in expecting something like Traitors.
